Thought I’d start something a little different on here.

I post plenty of the work, plenty of banter and probably a bit too much carry on 😂 but I’ve never really spoken much about the story behind APF or how I ended up doing this for a living.

So while I’ve got a bit of downtime over here in Aussie, I thought I’d start Drywall Yarns.

Just a place for me to have a yarn every now and then about where it all started, the early days, running a business, the lessons we’ve learnt, the good times, the s**t times and a few stories from along the way.

Been a hell of a ride since then and still plenty more to learn. Pretty grateful for where this trade has taken us and all the people we’ve met along the way.

In NZ & AU we have 6m long sheets which allows us to minimise the amount of butt joins in every house.

We also horizontal fix everything which also lessens the amount of taper edge joins throughout the house.

Less joins, less chances to crack/peak, better finish for everyone🫡
