Intimate corners are some of our favorite spaces to design.

They are the places where daily rituals unfold—from quiet mornings with a book and coffee to relaxed evenings spent sharing a meal and meaningful conversations with the people you love.

Our intention was to create an atmosphere that invites you to slow down, be present, and stay a little longer.

Casa DDS began with a quiet shell.

( soft tones, balanced proportions, natural light ) a space that already carried a certain calmness to it.

But what ultimately gave it warmth and identity was everything layered into it afterwards.

The objects, the textures, the contrasts.

The pieces that slowly transformed the apartment from simply “beautiful” into something deeply personal.

One of the most rewarding parts of the process was watching the space evolve alongside its owner. Becoming more expressive, more collected, more reflective of who she is.

We’ve always believed the most meaningful interiors aren’t built all at once. They’re shaped through intention, curiosity, and layers that make a space feel entirely your own.

More on Farmhouse Obarrio.
Ceiling Details

We believe design is built on the details, so we couldn’t help but draw attention upward.
The spaces we remember are often shaped by the elements we almost overlook.

Farmhouse, Obarrio.

2026. Ciudad de Panamá, Panamá.

We leaned into the vertical condition of the space,
allowing it to become more than proportion: a gesture.

At its center, a light well acts as the anchor.
A controlled glow that mimics daylight
and takes over the room.

Around it, warmth builds gradually:
wood surrounds, softens, grounds.
Mineral textures add depth,
and steel introduces precision.

The result? A space that feels welcoming, and where light, material, and proportion work together in harmony.

The most meaningful spaces are not built from references alone.
They are shaped by people.
By their habits, their rhythms, their way of living.

When design begins here, something shifts.

A space stops feeling generic and starts to feel personal.
Like it could not belong to anyone else.

We wrote more about this in our latest essay.

FROM GARDEN TO TABLE.

When we first began designing this project, we made a very intentional decision: to open the façade and invite more natural light into the space. This new opening didn’t just transform the interior, it created the opportunity to frame a view outward.

Rather than simply looking onto a garden, we imagined a living scene that would evolve over time. The window became a frame, and the garden the artwork within it.

We planted plantain trees with a simple but meaningful idea in mind: that one day, the owners might harvest their own fruit. What began as a design gesture slowly turned into a living process: watching the garden grow, the trees mature, and eventually bear fruit.

Recently, the owners sent us photos of the patacones they made using plantains from those very trees. Seeing that moment come full circle was incredibly special. This video captures that story. How a small design decision can grow into something lived, shared, and delicious.
