Pyramids of Egypt,
To say there is controversy over the construction of the Pyramids of Egypt is an understatement.
The standard mainstream viewpoint is that the pyramids of Giza were made around 4,500 years ago over a period of around 80 years.
Alternative archaeology beliefs that the pyramids and the sphinx are aligned with astrological time phases of around 11,000 years ago. This leads to some believing this is when they were actually built. It is important to indicate that many alternative archaeology believers view this as a time pointer but still accept that the construction is in line with standard construction dates.
A third option involves carbon dating of the pyramids. Radio carbon dating tests performed in 1984 indicated a date of around 374 years older than conventional dates. This would mean the pyramids of Giza would be closer to 5000 years old.
Perhaps the best evidence to support the moving of the great pyramid of Khufu's date is based on a wooded rod sealed inside the shaft leading from the queen's chamber. Radio carbon dating of this rod in 2020 came back with a date of between 3341 and 3094 B.C.
