Bayan ng Samal
Obra ni Christian C. Silvestre

Ipinapakita ng painting na ito ang pagsasama ng makabagong imprastruktura at ang matatag na monumento ng kalabaw sa Samal. Isang simbolo ng mayamang kasaysayan ng agrikultura at likas na yaman ng bayan. Tahimik na saksi ang kalabaw sa pagbabago, sumisimbolo ng katatagan, pagsisikap, at kolektibong alaala. Sa pagitan ng lumang monumento at nagbabagong kapaligiran, ipinapakita ng likhang-sining na ito kung paano nananatiling matibay ang lokal na identidad at kasaysayan sa gitna ng mabilis na modernisasyon. Ang alaala ay hindi natatabunan ng progreso, sa halip, ito ay nananatiling nakabaon, humuhubog sa kasalukuyan habang iginagalang ang nakaraan.
