Abung Na Ilalam is a 60 square meters cob or mudhouse structure made of inexpensive, recycled, and natural building materials like earth, rice straw, grasses, bamboo, river sand, boulder stones, lime, and used wine bottles. Built almost entirely using the bare

hands and the bare feet, it is the first cob or mudhouse structure built in the Pangasinan province. The cob house which was finished in May 2016 houses a small family of four members and also features a 140 square meters food forest garden. Abung Na Ilalam means “house of imagination” in the Pangasinan language. Abung Na Ilalam offers consultancy services and workshops on cob or mudhouse building in the Philippines. The hand-sculpted house is made of inexpensive, recycled, sustainable, and natural building materials like earth, lime, dried rice straw, bamboo, cow manure, cogon, and used glass bottles.
