LESSON 12:
Dealing With False Teachers

Memory Text: 2 Corinthians 10:4

1. Stand for the Truth
Paul faced false teachings with courage, but he remained gentle like Christ. We should defend the truth with love, not anger. Our goal is to lead people closer to Jesus.

2. Boast in the Lord
Paul did not focus on his own achievements. He said, “Let him who boasts boast in the Lord” (2 Cor. 10:17). Our ministry is not a competition. Everything we do should give glory to Christ.

3. Examine Yourself
Paul said, “Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith” (2 Cor. 13:5). Before correcting others, we should check our own hearts and lives. We must stay faithful to Jesus and His Word.

Reflection:
In dealing with false teachings, let us be firm in truth, gentle in love, humble in service, and faithful to Christ.

LESSON 11
Stewardship and Mission:

Giving Like Jesus
1. Jesus Is Our Greatest Example of Giving

Jesus gave up the riches and glory of heaven to save us. He became poor for our sake so that we could receive the riches of eternal life. True stewardship begins when we recognize Christ's great sacrifice and respond with gratitude and love. We give because He first gave everything for us.
📖 2 Corinthians 8:9; John 3:16

2. Giving Is a Joyful Response to God's Grace

Christian giving should come from a willing and cheerful heart. Like the Macedonians, we can be generous even when we have little because generosity is not about how much we possess—it is about how much love we have for God and others. Every blessing we receive is an opportunity to become a blessing.
📖 2 Corinthians 8:1–5; 2 Corinthians 9:7

3. Our Stewardship Supports God's Mission and Builds Unity

Our money, time, talents, and influence are gifts from God that can help spread the gospel and serve others. When we faithfully support the mission of the church, we become partners in God's work and strengthen the unity of His people around the world. Stewardship and mission go together because both are expressions of Christ's self-giving love.
📖 2 Corinthians 9:10–13; Romans 15:26–27

Reflection: What God has given us is not only for us to enjoy, but also for us to share in advancing His mission.

LESSON 10
Authentic Christian Ministry

1. Changed Lives
2 Corinthians 3:2–3
A true Christian ministry is seen in changed lives. Our words and actions should show that Christ is working in us.

2. Faithful in Difficult Times
2 Corinthians 4:7–10
Paul suffered many hardships, but he did not give up. Though we are weak, God gives us strength to continue.

3. Reconciliation and Holiness
2 Corinthians 5:18–20; 7:1
Christ reconciled us to God, and He calls us to help others know Him. True ministry leads people to repentance, holiness, and a closer relationship with God.

Key Thought:
Authentic ministry is letting Christ shine through our lives, even in times of weakness and difficulty.

LESSON 9:
Love-Driven Ministry

Memory Text: 2 Corinthians 2:4

1. Our Pain Can Help Others

Paul suffered many hardships, but God comforted him. Because he experienced God’s comfort, he was able to comfort others.

Lesson: Our trials can become a testimony. God can use our pain to encourage someone who is hurting.

2. Serve With a Sincere Heart

Paul was sometimes misunderstood, but he continued to serve with honesty and a pure heart. His ministry was not for himself, but because he loved Christ and the church.

Lesson: We may not always be understood, but we should remain faithful and sincere.

3. Correct With Love and Forgive

Paul corrected the Corinthians, but his goal was not to hurt them. He wanted them to change, be forgiven, and be restored.

Lesson: True Christian ministry speaks the truth with love and gives people another chance.

Conclusion

Love should be the heart of our ministry.
When we suffer, let us comfort others.
When we are misunderstood, let us remain sincere.
When others fall, let us help restore them with love.

Let everything we do for Christ be driven by love.

LESSON 8
The Power of Christ’s Resurrection

1. The Resurrection Makes Our Faith Meaningful
Paul clearly teaches that if Christ had not risen, our preaching would be empty and our faith would be futile (1 Cor. 15:14–17). The resurrection proves that Jesus truly conquered sin and death. Because He lives, our faith is not based on a dead Savior but on a living Christ. Our hope stands because Jesus lives.

2. The Resurrection Gives Us Hope Beyond the Grave
Christ is called the “firstfruits” of those who have fallen asleep (1 Cor. 15:20–23). His resurrection assures us that those who died in Christ will also be raised at His coming. Death is not the end for the believer. We may grieve, but we do not grieve without hope (1 Thess. 4:13–17). The empty tomb points us toward the glorious resurrection morning.

3. The Resurrection Guarantees Final Victory
At Christ’s return, the dead in Christ will be raised incorruptible, and the living righteous will be transformed (1 Cor. 15:51–55). Our weak and mortal bodies will become glorious and immortal. Then we will declare, “O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?” (1 Cor. 15:55). Because Christ has conquered death, we can live today with courage, serve faithfully, and look forward to eternity.

Reflection

The resurrection is not merely an event in the past—it is the foundation of our faith, the source of our hope, and the assurance of our future. Jesus lives, therefore we have hope; Jesus will return, therefore we have a future.

LESSON 7
A Portrait of Love

1. Love Is More Than Words—It Is Action
1 Corinthians 13:4–7 shows that true love is patient, kind, forgiving, humble, and enduring. Love is not merely an emotion; it is demonstrated through our actions and attitudes toward others. Christian love becomes visible when we choose to treat others as Christ treats us.

2. Jesus Is the Perfect Portrait of Love
Jesus perfectly demonstrated the love described in 1 Corinthians 13. He was patient with sinners, kind to the hurting, forgiving to those who wronged Him, and willing to endure the cross for our salvation (1 John 3:16; 4:8–10). If we want to learn how to love, we must look at Jesus.

3. Love Must Remain at the Center of Our Christian Life
Faith, hope, and love remain, but “the greatest of these is love” (1 Corinthians 13:13). Spiritual gifts, knowledge, service, and even sacrifice lose their value when they are not motivated by love. In our homes and churches, love can heal divisions, restore relationships, and reveal Christ to others.

Reflection: Am I allowing the love of Christ to be seen in the way I speak, forgive, serve, and treat others?

LESSON 6

Spiritual Gifts

Memory Text: “Pursue love, and earnestly desire the spiritual gifts, especially that you may prophesy.” — 1 Corinthians 14:1 (ESV)

1. Every Spiritual Gift Comes From God for a Purpose (1 Corinthians 12:4–11; Ephesians 4:11–13)
God gives different spiritual gifts to every believer according to His will. No gift is greater than another because each one has a unique purpose in building up the church. Our gifts are not for personal recognition but for serving Christ and strengthening His people.

2. Unity Is Strengthened Through Our Different Gifts (1 Corinthians 12:12–31)
Just as the human body has many parts working together, the church is strongest when every member faithfully uses the gift God has given. Diversity is not meant to divide us but to unite us in one mission. Every believer is valuable and necessary in God's work.

3. Love Gives Spiritual Gifts Their True Value (1 Corinthians 13:1–7; 1 Peter 4:8–11)
Spiritual gifts have little value without love. Love transforms our talents into a blessing for others and reflects Christ's character. Whether we teach, serve, encourage, or lead, our greatest calling is to use every gift with humility, compassion, and love for God's glory.

LESSON 5
All to the Glory of God

Memory Text: “Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” — 1 Corinthians 10:31

1. Love Is Greater Than Knowledge (1 Corinthians 8:1–13)
Knowledge can make us proud, but love builds up others. Paul reminds us that Christian freedom should never cause another believer to stumble. True maturity is shown not by what we know, but by how we lovingly care for others. When love guides our choices, God is glorified.

2. Choose God's Glory Over Personal Rights (1 Corinthians 9:1–23)
Paul willingly gave up his rights so that nothing would hinder the gospel. His example teaches us that serving Christ often requires sacrifice. Instead of asking, "What am I allowed to do?" we should ask, "Will this bring people closer to Jesus?" A life of selfless service reflects God's character.

3. Flee Every Form of Idolatry (1 Corinthians 10:5–31; Mark 12:28–31)
Idolatry is anything that takes God's rightful place in our hearts. It may not be a carved image—it can be money, success, pleasure, or even ourselves. God calls us to love Him above everything else and to love others as ourselves. When Christ is first in our hearts, every action, big or small, becomes an act of worship that brings glory to God.

LESSON 3
Unity in Christ

1. Christ, not human leaders, must be the center of the church.
Cliques and divisions arise when we place too much loyalty in people. Paul reminds us that we belong to Christ, who was crucified for us (1 Cor. 1:12–13). True unity is found when Jesus—not personalities, preferences, or leaders—is the center of our faith.

2. Spiritual maturity means having the mind of Christ.
A mature Christian does not compete, create factions, or seek personal glory. Instead, we follow Christ’s example of humility and selfless service (1 Cor. 3:1–4; Phil. 2:5–8). Unity grows when we are willing to die to self and put the needs of others above our own.

3. Unity requires Christlike love and sacrificial service.
Paul’s ministry shows that true Christian leadership is not about power or recognition but about faithfulness, humility, and sacrifice (2 Cor. 11:23–28; Col. 1:24). When we serve with the spirit of Christ, we build up the church instead of tearing it down.
