Taiwan is leading the use of AI in healthcare by deploying smart robots to help solve the global nursing shortage.

One example is Nurabot — a robot nurse developed by Foxconn and powered by NVIDIA. It helps reduce nurse burnout by handling tough tasks like medicine delivery, ward patrols, and guiding visitors.

Nurabot is already working in hospitals like Taichung Veterans General Hospital, where it has cut nurse workloads by up to 30%. It also delivers wound care kits and health education materials, giving nurses more time to focus on patients.

Foxconn is also using NVIDIA technology to build other smart tools, including AI models for tracking patient vitals and digital twins for improving hospital design.
