KAAYOO RESTAURANT
Kasambagan, Cebu City

The concept for this restaurant is derived from the idea of “BEAUTY IN THE IMPERFECTION”. It explores the paradox of being carelessly careful, thoughtlessly thoughtful and unconsciously conscious.

With the use of brick, cement and wood as our main design materials, we are able to strip down and lay bare the concept that we have in mind. We are able to pull-off this look of being “done but not quite”. We made it feel like we peeled off the walls of its true nature and expose the true identity of the space.

We have also used the power of the mirrors to create an illusion of a much bigger space and with this approach, we are able to use the mirrors as “portals” into what seems like “another” space, an “inception” if you will.

As a restaurant, this space offers a fresh take on the wide array of Filipino dishes as it also transforms into a bar that offers delectable cocktails and drinks best suited for the Cebuanos’ ever evolving food and beverage culture.

“A House is made of wall and beams. A Home is made of love and dreams.”

Part 1

A manifestation of a lifelong dream, this Contemporary Asian inspired residence is conceived out of the client’s collective visions of a forever home and ultimately, it is a reflection of her life’s work as a flight attendant for more than 3 decades.

Being the designated translator of that vision, our utmost priority is to how we can marry those different visions into reality. For the façade, with the client’s design brief, we explored the iterations of what a Contemporary Asian house would be like. We further end up using a proportionate amount of whites, stones and wood as materials and textures.

While the exterior is poised and designed to be shy and calm, the drama and personality comes into the interiors. Being a collector and a well traveled spirit, it is with great significance that we value and highlight the personality of the client that will use the space. Splashes of colors from all over the world are on display. It is with great joy to be able to use and layout pieces with genuine meaning and sentimental value. Apart from being able to save on cost in buying new things, the most important thing is that the spaces are true and unpretentious to the one who will be using it the most.

There’s a lot to unfold so come with us as we look into the SY Residence, our newly turned-over residential unit in Pristina North Subdivision, Cebu City.

A PROPOSED HOTEL

One of our biggest concept project to date, this hotel aims to have a unique hospitality experience for Cebuanos
having individual modern villas with pools and main lap pool as central feature.

The concept of this project revolves around the idea of a reef, having different layers and volumes which is
manifested in the varying canopy height of the villas.

It is also worth noting that to promote exclusiveness, the entire project is covered and dressed in different
vegetations.
