Pursuant to Executive Order No. 29 signed in June 2017, the National Disaster Resilience Month (NDRM) is observed every July where activities related to building disaster resilience are being
undertaken across the country.

Over the years, First Balfour has had strong partnerships with various stakeholders whose aim is to invest in safer and disaster-resilient infrastructure for Filipino communities. Engr. Javier
Muñoz-Rojas of Madrid-based bridge designer CFCSL Oficina de Proyectos, during the November 2021 First Balfour Digital Leaders Conference, shared that the pylons and stay cables of the iconic Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX) have been designed to withstand extreme winds of up to 227 kph. Aside from the structure being vessel-collision proof, it can also withstand an earthquake up to magnitude ten. In a disaster-prone country such as the Philippines, it is highly important to advance the structural integrity of infrastructures to reduce the
impact when disaster strikes.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY

We will need to close the Cebu South Coastal Road (CSCR) Northbound lane from 10 PM to 4 AM from June 14, 2022 (Tuesday) until June 15, 2022 (Wednesday) for the installation of the portal gantry posts.

For this period, Northbound motorists are advised to take the zipper lane from Il Corso to SM Seaside City through the Southbound Lane or take the alternate route through N. Bacalso Ave.

TRAFFIC SAFETY REMINDER
Do not stop at any point on the Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway. The CCLEX has five laybys or widening by the side of the main road serve as provisional parking areas during emergencies.

These are only for emergency use.

After four years of hard work, we now approach the final stages of construction works which led to the exciting moment of the Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX) Inauguration Ceremony held on the 27th of April 2022 at the CCLEX.

The design and build contractor, Cebu Link Joint Venture - CLJV, is composed of Spain-based Acciona Construcción, S.A., and Philippine-based firms First Balfour and DMCI.
