Architecture is more than creating buildings—it begins with understanding how to communicate ideas through drawings. As an instructor at the University of Mindanao, Architectural Graphics has become more than just a subject to me; it has become my passion.

Every plate I ask my students to complete, I draw first on the board. I believe that true teaching is not simply giving instructions, but demonstrating the process step by step. When students see how every line, every projection, and every perspective is created, they gain the confidence to create their own.

This has always been my philosophy:

'Do it first, and they will learn.'

Because in architecture, the best lessons are not only explained—they are demonstrated.

SPP in a nutshell:

• Design Only – Site visits are generally for verification and design coordination.

• Construction Phase Services– Includes periodic site visits to observe if the work generally conforms to the plans and specifications.

• Design-Build – Site responsibilities still depend on the agreed scope of services.

• Employee of the Owner – If you're salaried by the owner, site visits may also be part of your employment duties.

P.S. Kaya kahit ano pa ang role mo diyan, malamang mapupunta ka pa rin sa site. Magbaon ka na lang ng maraming sunblock.😆

Another blessing. Another reason to give thanks. 🙏📐

Today, my client officially signed the construction documents, and by God's grace, construction will start as soon as possible. It may be a small project in the eyes of many, but I believe there is no such thing as a small blessing from God.

"Every good and perfect gift is from above." — James 1:17

To my fellow architects and future architects: Never measure your success by the size of your projects. Instead, be grateful for every opportunity God entrusts to you, and always give your best—whether the project is big or small.

"Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much." — Luke 16:10

Above all, let us uphold integrity and honesty in our profession—not just to please our clients or people, but to honor God in every drawing, every decision, and every project we undertake.

"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters." — Colossians 3:23

To God alone be all the glory. ❤️

To all Architecture students who are struggling with this course emotionally, physically, or financially, keep working hard and have faith in Him. It's not about getting high grades, failing, or finishing the course within five years. It's about your determination and perseverance. Life is not a race.

I still have batchmates who are pursuing this course, and some of them even became my students. Imagine how many years they have spent earning their degree. Yet I truly admire their courage, determination, perseverance, and faith to keep moving forward on the path they have chosen. That's what matters most—never giving up.

If you stumble, pause for a while and rest. Then get back up and fight again. If you can conquer this challenge, you can conquer many others that lie ahead in this profession. Keep the faith, trust God's timing, and never stop believing in yourself.

Remember: True failure isn't how long it takes—it's when you stop fighting. So don't stop. Keep going.
