Conceived as a contemporary landscape of movement and social interaction, a proposed 1-hectare Sports Complex in General Santos city reimagines the traditional sports facility as an immersive destination where recreation, architecture, and community converge.
The masterplan is organized around a vibrant collection of sporting venues, anchored by six signature pickleball courts rendered in playful pink and baby blue hues, with one exclusive for VIPs. Elevated above the courts, a mezzanine-level food hall and spectator deck creates a dynamic social platform overlooking the activity below, transforming competition into a shared experience.
The complex further integrates two basketball courts with elevated viewing galleries, three premium tennis courts framed by warm WPC wood-clad walls and lush green surfaces, and a modern bowling facility that extends the recreational program beyond conventional outdoor sports.
Serving as the architectural centerpiece is a minimalist convention center sculpted from clean concrete volumes. At its core, a preserved tree rises through the building as a living landmark—establishing a dialogue between nature and structure while symbolizing growth, community, and resilience.
Through the interplay of bold geometry, layered public spaces, and biophilic design, the project aspires to become more than a sports venue—it is envisioned as a civic destination where athletic performance, social engagement, and contemporary architecture intersect within a memorable and iconic environment.
