Behind these iconic doors is more than a café — it's a space thoughtfully crafted to bring together architecture, culture, and community. A warm palette of natural wood, textured cement finishes, patterned tiles, and handcrafted solihiya creates an interior that feels both timeless and distinctly Bicolano.

At the heart of the space is the branch's signature mural, where Magayon stands alongside Albay's treasured landmarks. Like every branch, the artwork is one of a kind — celebrating the place it calls home.

𝐊𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐆𝐈 𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐒𝐄
A Home Designed in Stillness & Harmony

Derived from the Japanese-inspired concept of 小凪 (𝐊𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐢), where 𝐊𝐨 (小) represents intimacy and simplicity, and 𝐍𝐚𝐠𝐢 (凪) represents calm waters and stillness, Konagi House embodies tranquility, balance, and harmony through its connection to water, nature, and spatial flow.

This Modern Contemporary residence, inspired by Japandi design, blends thoughtful planning, natural materials, and a seamless connection with nature. Strong geometric forms, layered volumes, and varied stone finishes are complemented by warm timber, steel accents, and black detailing, while louvered sliding and bifold storm shutters enhance both function and architectural expression.

A landscaped arrival leads to a koi pond entrance, creating a serene transition into the home. Guided by feng shui, the water element reinforces harmony between architecture, nature, and everyday living.

Large east-facing windows welcome natural light and cross ventilation, while a soft Japandi palette of neutral tones and natural textures creates calm, inviting interiors.

At Vesta, every home begins with understanding the people who live within it. Konagi House is a timeless sanctuary where architecture, nature, and memories are thoughtfully woven together through design.

Designing this project meant working around a tight lot and tricky angles while making sure every requirement was met. The challenge? Keeping it functional without compromising aesthetics.

𝐁𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐰 ☕️

For this project, the challenge wasn't creating an identity, it was bringing an existing one to life. Through our sketches, we explored how the café's branding could take shape in the physical space, drawing inspiration from its forms, aesthetics, and visual language.

Not to mention, ex*****on accuracy is already established long before construction begins, with every material, form, texture, and technique carefully decided.

One of the space's defining features is a custom mural inspired by the history and character of Old Albay—a tribute to the places, landmarks, and memories woven into the community's story. Some may recognize familiar scenes, while others may discover them for the first time. For now, we'll keep the details a surprise.

When the doors open, we hope you'll linger a little longer—finding pieces of Old Albay hidden in the walls, and perhaps a memory of your own waiting among them.
