Ocular Inspection at the Tree Planting Site

Yesterday, Gov. Myra and Vice Gov. Gilbert, together with Engr. Enrico, visited the site where the Mangrove Tree Planting Activity will take place on Sunday, March 14, at 7 am.

Ate Maricel, one of the coordinators at the site, told us that after the eruption of Tall Volcano last year, some Mangrove trees died due an increased sulfur content of the sea water. Those that died are already full grown trees already.

Hopefully, this activity can help in the rehabilitation of the mangrove trees along the coastal area which will be beneficial not only to protect the erosion of the coastal area but also to protect the residents living nearby especially during typhoons.
