Mechanical Construction Engineer/Technician
We are seeking a highly motivated On-Site Construction Mechanical Engineer/Technician to supervise and support the mechanical installation of wind turbines. The role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant assembly of mechanical components in line with technical standards and project requirements.
What You’ll Do:
•Supervise and coordinate mechanical installation (towers, nacelles, hubs, blades).
•Perform strict Quality control, ensuring Work Instructions are followed with proper documentation.
•Oversee installation of mechanical components including shaft alignment, lifting, anti-vibration.
•Review technical drawings, specifications, and procedures.
•Monitor and report daily mechanical progress, manage non-conformities, and propose solutions.
•Support commissioning team with functional/mechanical testing of turbines and balance-of-plant systems.
•Troubleshoot issues during installation and propose corrective actions.
•Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, operators, and clients for project success.
•Ensure adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards.
What We’re Looking For:
•Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
•Minimum 5 years’ experience in mechanical construction (wind energy/large infrastructure preferred).
•Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, lifting operations, and rotating machinery.
•Ability to read and interpret structural and mechanical drawings.
•Proficiency in MS Office and project management software (CAD tools an advantage).
•Leadership skills in site-based project environments.
Working Conditions:
•On-site at wind farm construction locations.
•Frequent work at heights and with heavy lifting equipment.
•Extended working hours and rotational shifts may be required.
•Strict adherence to HSE and use of PPE.
•6-day work week.
