Palafox Welcome to the official page of Palafox! Palafox was founded in July 1989 by Principal Architect and Urban Planner Felino Palafox, Jr.

Based in the Philippines with offices in Makati City, Cebu City, and Davao City, our expertise mainly focuses on architecture, planning, interior design, engineering, urban design, and consultancy. For more than 30 years, we have completed 1,631 projects in 40 countries that include the planning of more than 41 billion square meters of land area and the architectural design of more than 16 million

square meters of building floor area. We plan and design structures not as solitary entities but as citizens of the community. We believe good planning and good design should be accessible to all and should leave a lasting impression while uplifting and inspiring the community.

This Heritage Month, we celebrate the stories, spaces, and identities that shape who we are as Filipinos.

Through our work on the Dominican Hill Heritage Site in Baguio City, PALAFOX remains committed to preserving cultural landmarks while giving them renewed purpose for future generations. From conservation and adaptive reuse to cultural and creative placemaking, we believe heritage preservation is not just about protecting the past—it is about strengthening identity, community, and continuity.

Because good planning honors history while shaping the future.

Building safer, more walkable, and bike-friendly communities starts with strong local partnerships.

Last April 30, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) gathered LGU stakeholders for a capacity-building workshop in support of the Active Transport Strategic Master Plan (ATSMP). The session created an important space for local governments to share insights, identify on-the-ground challenges, and strengthen their role in shaping active transport solutions that work for their communities.

As implementation ultimately happens at the local level, empowering LGUs with the right tools, knowledge, and planning frameworks is key to creating connected, people-centered streets across the country.

Our urban planning team at PALAFOX was honored to help facilitate the workshop and contribute to the ongoing dialogue on sustainable and inclusive mobility planning in the Philippines.

Thank you to the Department of Transportation for your trust, collaboration, and continued commitment to advancing active transport nationwide. Together, we move toward healthier, safer, and more resilient cities.

Showcasing the best of our culture, crafted through design.

The “Atin Ito” airport stores, designed by PALAFOX, transform retail into an experience—where travelers don’t just pass through, but connect with the heart and soul of the Philippines.

From locally crafted souvenirs and indigenous artworks to regional delicacies, the space is thoughtfully designed to showcase Filipino identity—supporting local artisans while giving every traveler a meaningful sense of place.

At PALAFOX, we believe design goes beyond aesthetics—it tells stories, strengthens culture, and creates lasting impressions.

Because every journey should begin and end with something truly ours.

PALAFOX at the FIABCI Philippines International Forum!

We extend our sincere thanks to the organizers of the FIABCI Philippines International Forum and Property & Real Estate Excellence Awards for the opportunity to contribute to this meaningful global dialogue on real estate and urban development.

At the forum, Joaquin Quiros, our Associate Director for Strategy and Innovations, shared insights on “Designing Resilient Cities: Architecture and Planning in Real Estate”—highlighting how design, sustainability, and innovation shape the future of our cities in an increasingly complex and fast-changing world.

From addressing climate resilience and rapid urbanization to envisioning smart, inclusive, and future-ready communities, his talk underscored the critical role of planning in creating long-term value for both people and places. Joaquin also joined industry leaders as a panelist, contributing to conversations that will help define the next chapter of Philippine real estate.

At PALAFOX, we believe that great ideas come from strong, diverse teams. Joaquin’s participation reflects our continued commitment to elevating not just projects—but the people behind them.

Great design always has people in mind.

The UP Cebu Dormitory is envisioned as more than just a place to stay—it is a thoughtfully planned living environment for faculty, staff, and visiting professors, supporting comfort, productivity, and community.

With efficient layouts, complete living spaces, and a design that anticipates future expansion, this project reflects PALAFOX’s approach to architecture: practical, people-centered, and future-ready.

At PALAFOX, we design spaces that serve—because good design is not just seen, it is lived.

Strengthening partnerships for nation-building.

Arch. Felino “Jun” Palafox Jr. and the PALAFOX team recently had the privilege of a follow-up meeting with Sen. Manny Pacquiao and the M.P. Holdings team.

We are grateful for the continued trust and meaningful discussions as we explore opportunities for collaboration—guided by good planning, good governance, and a shared vision for inclusive and sustainable development.

We look forward to what lies ahead.

Cities move forward when people can move better.

The Ilocos Norte Transport Hub is more than a terminal; it is a strategic connector that brings together mobility, economy, and community in one integrated, future-ready development.

Designed to ease congestion and improve accessibility in Laoag City, it will serve as a central node linking inter- and intra-provincial transport—making travel more seamless, convenient, and inclusive.

However, great transport hubs go beyond movement, and instead create vibrant mixed-use environments, integrating commercial spaces, government services, and public areas that foster social interaction and economic growth. With sustainable features such as solar roofing, rainwater harvesting, and active mobility design, this project reflects how infrastructure can also be green, resilient, and people-centered.

At PALAFOX, we believe that transport hubs are catalysts for development—shaping cities that are walkable, bikeable, livable, smart, and resilient.

The Ilocos Norte Transport Hub is a strong example of how thoughtful planning can transform mobility into opportunity—and infrastructure into a true sense of place.

We were honored to take part in the “Build to Last: Infrastructure and Construction Conference” hosted by the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Philippines.

At the conference, Arch. Felino “Jun” Palafox Jr. shared his vision through his talk, “Smart and Sustainable: Next Generation Infrastructure.” He challenged us to think beyond short-term electoral cycles and instead imagine a Philippines shaped by bold, long-term planning—25, 50, even 75+ years into the future.

Infrastructure is more than concrete and steel; it is the foundation of inclusive growth, resilience, and nation-building. Conversations like these matter because they bring together leaders, innovators, and visionaries who are willing to design not just for today, but for generations to come.

We extend our sincere thanks to the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Philippines—especially its leadership—for the kind invitation, and to H.E. Ambassador Marie Fontanel for joining and supporting this important dialogue.

We look forward to even stronger collaboration between the Philippines and France, particularly in advancing renewable energy and future-ready infrastructure—for a more sustainable and enduring tomorrow.

A meaningful milestone for stronger global partnerships.

We extend our sincere thanks to Mr. Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah and Dubai Chambers for inviting Arch. Palafox to the inauguration of the Dubai Chambers Manila Office—an important step in deepening trade, investment, and collaboration between Dubai and the Philippines.

This initiative aligns with our shared vision of a First World Philippines by 2050 and beyond—where global partnerships help unlock opportunities, accelerate development, and elevate competitiveness.

For Arch. Palafox, this moment is especially meaningful. Dubai remains close to his heart, having been part of the team that helped transform it from a desert town into a first-world city in just 15 years—through visionary leadership, disciplined planning, and strong governance.

We also extend our gratitude to the Ambassador of the UAE, H.E. Mohamed Obaid Salem Al Qatam Alzaabi, for the warm welcome and continued support in strengthening Philippines–UAE relations.

We look forward to building more bridges—turning shared visions into lasting impact.

A “blast from the past” showing planning and design for economic development, job creation and people in mind.

The First Philippine Industrial Park (FPIP) in Sto. Tomas, Batangas stands as one of PALAFOX’s early showcases of integrated, large-scale master planning—spanning 300 hectares and bringing together industry, support facilities, and community spaces into one cohesive development.

More than an industrial estate, FPIP was envisioned as a complete ecosystem—with administrative hubs, socio-civic spaces, recreational amenities, and leasable facilities designed to support both business and quality of life.

This project reflects a principle we continue to uphold today:
Great developments are not just built—they are carefully planned, connected, and future-ready.

At PALAFOX, we don’t just design spaces—we partner in shaping thriving, mixed-use environments that enable growth, investment, and long-term value.

Sustainability is no longer just an add-on, but a foundation of good design.

The ADB Expansion Building (Third Atrium) reflects PALAFOX’s commitment to architecture that is environment-responsive, people-centered, and future-ready—from maximizing natural light and ventilation to integrating green spaces within the workplace.

As a LEED Gold-certified development, it stands as a testament to how thoughtful design can harmonize with its environment while enhancing productivity, well-being, and long-term value.

At PALAFOX, we design not just buildings—but better, more sustainable futures.
