Julie Borromeo's Performing Arts Foundation, Inc., formerly Dance Arts Studio, is a premier performing arts school, providing a home for dancers, young and old, teachers, and choreographers. Based in the Philippines, it has courses in Ballet, Tap, Modern Jazz, Spanish Flamenco, Musical Theater, Latin Dance, Luigi Jazz Syllabus, Ballroom, Hiphop, and Adult Fitness. Performing Arts has become one of
the most prestigious dance schools in the Philippines. Formed 64 years ago, in 1957, by Julie Borromeo, it boasts of alumni such as Prima Ballerina, Maniya Barredo (Atlantic Ballet), Lea Salonga, Miguel Barganza (USA), Gloria Tobilla (Caracas Ballet, Venezuela), Enrico Labayen, Nonoy Froilan (Ballet Philippines), Bobby Ongkiko, Erich Edralin, Bing and Agness Locsin, Cathee Lee (Philippine Ballet Theatre) and many more. Plinky Recto, Cherie Gil, Hajji Alejandro, Patricia Borromeo, Maricar Aragon Andrada, Anamarie Aragon Quirino, Gigi Aragon Agacoili, Jun Mailen, Mariel Mabaquiao, NCCA Ani ng Dangal awardee, Shaira Comeros, Gold Medalists in the HKCCDC competitions, Dom Delmo, Waya Fulgueras, Andi Flores, and Joseph Borromeo. Other than its annual showcases, Performing Arts has produced musical plays like "Man of La Mancha", "Sweet Charity", "Promises Promises", "The Fantasticks", "The Apple Tree", "Broadway Our Way", "They're Playing Our Song", "I Love My Wife", "The Wiz", "Philippine Revenue", "Guadalupe the Musical", and most notably "The Flower Drum Song", which raised the first half million for the construction of the Cultural Center of the Philippines.
