Conceived as a welcoming neighborhood dining hub, Neneng’s Food Corner was designed to transform a compact roadside lot into an efficient, comfortable, and visually memorable space. The concept centers on openness and transparency: wide glass frontage, lightweight steel framing, and a generous canopy create visual continuity between interior and exterior dining areas, encouraging foot traffic while enhancing natural ventilation.
The palette combines warm lighting, greenery, and textured finishes to humanize the structure and establish a casual yet contemporary identity. Circulation paths, seating layouts, and service zones were carefully organized to maximize capacity and operational flow without compromising comfort.
Delivered under an accelerated one-month design timeline and parallel construction, the project required rigorous coordination with the contractor and structural engineer, as well as strategic on-site adjustments. Despite geographic constraints, disciplined documentation and responsive decision-making ensured the design intent was preserved throughout construction.
Upon opening, the restaurant exceeded the client’s expectations in both customer turnout and overall ambience—demonstrating how thoughtful architectural planning, even under tight constraints, can elevate a modest program into a distinctive dining destination.
