Hello mga cian.
Standard installation of horn strobe.
Fire alarm wall-mounted visual notification appliances mounting height ,‼️🔥🔥
According to NFPA 72, wall-mounted visual must be installed with their notification appliances entire length positioned no lower than 80 in. (2.03 m) and no higher than 96 in. (2.44 m) above the finished floor. This requirement follows the prescriptive-based design approach.
or The minimum mounting height ensures that appliances aren't obstructed by furniture= equipment. More importantly, it allows the light pattern to cover the intended area effectively, ensuring the flash spreads widely across the room so everyone can see it.
The maximum mounting height is important because the illumination from a visual appliance reduces drastically with distance and angle from a horizontal plane through the appliance. As The intensity of light reaching a person diminishes as the distance from the device increases, whether moving horizontally or at an upward or downward angle.
In some cases, low ceilings prevent wall-mounted appliances from being installed within the standard range. We will explore this exception requirements in a dedicated post.
