Karong Sabado, gikan alas 8 sa gabii hangtod alas 9 sa gabii, giawhag ang tanang sa pag-apil sa usa ka oras nga boluntaryong pagpag daginot sa kuryente. Pinaagi sa panawagan sa Department of Energy Philippines, gidasig ang publiko nga palungon ang dili kinahanglan nga mga suga ug tangtangon sa saksakan ang mga appliances nga wala gigamit.

Bisan og usa lamang ka oras, ang kolektibong lihok sa katawhan adunay dakong epekto. Ang pagkunhod sa konsumo sa kuryente makatabang sa pagpanalipod sa kalikupan pinaagi sa pagminus sa emisyon gikan sa power generation. Nagpalig-on usab kini sa kahibalo sa matag usa bahin sa responsableng paggamit sa kuryente.

NOTICE OF NGCP SCHEDULED POWER INTERRUPTION

Please be informed of planned power interruption by the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) on Wednesday & Thursday, May 6 & 7, 2026, as indicated in their letter dated April 23, 2026. The details of the interruption are as follows:

POWER ADVISORY
NGCP SCHEDULED POWER INTERRUPTION
May 6 & 7, 2026 – WEDNESDAY & THURSDAY
5:00PM-6:00PM 30 minutes during normalization

AFFECTED AREAS:
Entire Ormoc City and its covered barangays
(except part of Cabulihan and Brgy. Valencia and its interior
barangays connected to Libingao, Kananga Substtation)

Entire Municipality of Albuera, Leyte and its covered barangays.

REASON/S:
During normalization of power in connection to the conduct of wood pole replacement along Maasin-Hilongos 69kV line.

We advise everyone to plan accordingly and take the necessary precautions during the scheduled power interruption. Please note that maintenance works may be completed ahead of schedule, and power may be restored earlier than expected. In this regard, kindly consider all lines as energized at all times.

The Board of Directors of Leyte V Electric Cooperative, led by Board President Paulito A. Cotiangco, together with the Management Team headed by General Manager Atty. Jannie Ann J. Dayandayan, conducted an on-site inspection of the ongoing 2-MW Bao Hydropower Plant project, one of the Cooperative’s flagship renewable energy initiatives aimed at strengthening and diversifying its power supply and compliance with the Renewable Portfolio Standard.

The inspection covered key project sites in Brgy. San Ignacio, Kananga, Leyte and Brgy. Nueva Vista, Ormoc CIty. The visit allowed officials to closely assess construction progress, verify adherence to established technical standards, and ensure that implementation remains aligned with project timelines, with overall accomplishment reaching 71% as of April 2026.
