📌 Construction Trivia: What happens after site layouting?

Kapag tapos na ang layouting at nailagay na ang gridlines sa site, the next step is excavation for footings — dito na hinuhukay ang foundation kung saan ilalagay ang base ng mga columns ng structure.

Ang location ng bawat hukay ay naka-align sa column grid system na nasa structural plans. Hindi ito basta tinatantya dahil ito ang magsisilbing foundation na magta-transfer ng structural loads ng building papunta sa lupa.

Ang lalim at sukat ng excavation ay naka-depende sa ilang engineering factors tulad ng:

• Structural load computation ng building
• Soil bearing capacity ng lupa sa site
• Footing size at column loads na naka-specify sa structural drawings
• Required embedment depth para maabot ang stable soil layer
• Spacing ng columns at footings base sa structural grid layout

Kaya sa professional construction practice, hindi basta hukay lang ang excavation. The site team checks alignment, elevation, at tamang dimensions ng footing bago maglagay ng rebars at bago ang concrete pouring.

Sa construction, hindi agad paghuhukay ang unang ginagawa. Layouting muna ang pinakaunang critical step sa site.

Dito tinatama ang:
✔ Exact location ng poste at footing
✔ Building alignment at setbacks
✔ Grid lines ayon sa approved plans

Kapag mali ang layout, mali na ang buong structure — at mahal ang magiging correction.

• Legal ang construction
• Iwas penalty at demolition issues
