Materiality is not just what you see, it’s what you feel.

The palette is quietly luxurious: brushed metal, warm wood, and raw concrete. Each surface was chosen to catch light in its own way, subtly reflecting the changing day. Vertical breeze blocks cast shadows, textured walls invite touch, and ceiling claddings soften the overhead plane.

Together, they create an architectural language that’s tactile, layered, and deeply intentional.

The intentional rhythm in the cladding and fenestration invites natural light and soft shadows to dance across the facade, while thoughtful transitions between indoors and out create a seamless flow with the landscape.

It’s the interplay between texture and tone that lets the home breathe.

To break the box, we turned to the line.

At the C House, geometry serves both utility and poetry. The elongated rectangle—the simplest architectural form—becomes the central motif. But by manipulating this shape in rhythm, layering, and contrast, we dissolve the home’s mass and introduce flow.

This rhythm of repetition, disruption, and restraint transforms familiar geometry into a composition of depth and delicateness.

While the home’s structure follows a pragmatic function, its surfaces tell a more nuanced story. By elongating the basic and reinterpreting it in alternating rhythms, claddings, and voids, we soften the verticality and break the expected boxiness.

The result is a home that reveals itself slowly, layer by layer, line by line.

The C House is designed as a confident, grounded gesture to its emerging neighborhood. With a form that prioritizes purpose and proportion, it strikes a quiet balance between presence and restraint. Every edge and angle was drawn with intent—allowing the structure to feel both rooted and refined.

With a deliberate focus on proportion and form, the architecture balances openness and structure, creating a modern silhouette that blends rather than dominates.

Being one of the first homes on the block, the C House is a home that doesn't really call for attention -- only one that speaks with quiet assurance.

It's the weekend, and Sunset Hour can be enjoyed in the comforts of your cozy living area. 🍸

With high ceilings and windows showering this space with natural daylight, we wanted to play with soft neutrals both in the colors of the furniture and furnishings as a canvass for shadow play. Beautiful nature-inspired artwork was chosen to ground the space further, bringing in a subtle burst of character and identity. Below the staircase, we placed storage for their luggage and seasonal items. For finishing touches, we completed the living area with nesting coffee tables and plush ottomans, which will a good number of family or friends to gather all the way until dinner is served.

Outside the Happy Hearts room are two spaces shared by many -- the dining room and the outdoor lounge. In styling this intimate space, we took note of dynamic and stylish pieces. The reflective glass table top made the corner of the house feel more spacious, while rounded edges and curves added a touch of elegance and comfort.

Just a step away is where after dinner conversations can take place. Instead of using it as a full garage, it was turned into an outdoor living area where drinks can be served in the evening, and quiet coffee mornings can be had. ☕ Pieces added to the outdoor furniture were a bar cart, which can be used inside and outside the house, and an industrial console cabinet for any items they want to keep handy. The portable floor lamp was a fun addition too, as a friendly and functional companion to create a mood during a night cap.

In most residential projects we've done, the "heart of the home" is mostly the kitchen where hearty meals are prepared. But in this home, we were tickled pink to style a heart-themed room for the lady of the house. 🫶🏼

The team enjoyed coming up with a shopping guide for this ultra-feminine space. While one part of the room was dedicated to a corner work space, the other half was turned into a girl power lounge.

Multiple shades of pink and heart-shaped accessories and furniture adorned the space with hints of brass. The wood finish from the sofa bed and coffee table offered a sense of balance and warmth. But the heartstopper was our client's artwork -- a framed scarf featuring one of Heart Evangelista's paintings.

Making a space completely your own is something to be proud and excited about. A complete opposite of a mancave, we loved working on this Happy Hearts room and our client was a real sweetheart too!

Oh and by the way, Happy Valentine's Day! 🩷

Since the holidays are over, everyone is back to the daily grind. 💪But work doesn't always have to be serious, especially the workplace.

Color and warmth gave this office space new life, one that matches the fun and dynamic work environment the management wanted to achieve. What was once a stark office bathed in white light, is now a homey yet functional space for the entire team to be productive in. The open pantry just outside the conference room is bound to witness camaraderie, karaoke singing, and bonding between colleagues. Meanwhile, the revamped conference room is ready to host worthwhile conversations and strategy meetings alike.

As the sun rises over Noah's Ark, the light reveals its many layers, as well as its textures, shapes and colors. Its verdant frontage is like a painting against the home's concrete breeze blocks.

Inside, the sun continues to bathe its spaces in natural daylight, wrapping it in warmth and keeping every corner bright.

This was truly a project we enjoyed designing and collaborating with both our clients and their chosen contractor. Noah's Ark has finally set sail.

One would usually find all the general spaces of a home on the ground floor, but in Noah's Ark, these were strategically placed on the second floor. The spacious open floor plan is welcoming for any guest and the flow allows the hosting family to see and be with their guests even if they're whipping up drinks and meals for everybody in the kitchen.

Even with a neutral color palette, we didn't miss out on adding a few design details that resonated with the home's architectural features. For example, the breeze blocks from the facade continued inside, creating visual impact for the staircase. Vertical slats were also incorporated in some of the bedrooms as an accent detail, while the same shades of wood and charcoal grays were used for their built-in cabinetry.

This home was a wonderful opportunity for us to design a home in full, both architecture and interior design. This process and the close collaboration with the homeowners allowed us to achieve cohesiveness in both looks and function that adhered to the family's forever home wish list and more. 🫶

"Build an ark of gopherwood, with rooms inside, three decks, and a door. Cover it inside and out with pitch.” And Noah did exactly as God commanded him." Genesis 6:13–22

Noah's Ark's (yes, the youngest son of this house's family is actually named Noah) form is impacted, first and foremost, by the site typography. The initial design response is to create a
structure that responds to flooding in the area - a shelter
that protects and keeps its family always at ease.

The approach to its form is to zone volumes of space according to its purpose and layer these based on their
importance. You’ll see emphasis on the second storey and how,
ultimately, it has become the main living space of the family.

Just a few months after the family moved in, Noah's Ark has been marked safe after the most recent typhoon. Its architecture stood its purpose - being shelter from the storm (and floods) without looking too much like it.

For any growing family, we dedicate a space in the home for their ever-changing needs. In this case, we were able to keep a corner free for their daughter's own special creative nook, which will grow with her and accommodate her interests. She looks forward to spending her weekends here because it feels like a staycation in a hotel with her very own teepee. Freeing up the corner will eventually allow her to place a study desk there, a big bookcase or even a pillow fort!

Meanwhile, we restored the bedroom's accent wall by placing a subtle brick tile behind their existing mirror, which is very similar to the other industrial elements we've seen in the living and dining areas of the unit. Incorporating recessed side tables made the sides of the bed more spacious and neat. The bendable wall sconces are functional for nighttime reading, while the pendant lights above serve as a playful ambient lighting option.

Sometimes we are overwhelmed with something so small that it clouds our imagination and creativity. Collaboration and trust in the process are two important ingredients in creating something big that packs in function and character — delivering a space that is both familiar but better. 🫶

Small spaces can pack in a lot of character. To complement this home's existing accent wall, a floating cabinet in a seafoam green hue was installed to create a break on the wall and pop of color. Freeing up the space below could be used to store ottomans or extra storage boxes.

The shared open space is tied in by similar wood accents found in the dining table and built-ins, plus the industrial glass door and mirrors that separate the common area from the semi-private bedroom.

Having a blank canvass in a space doesn't mean you have to work with whites or flat neutrals. Experiment with other special finishes to make a statement too!
