POOR SUPERVISION: The Silent Killer of Construction Projects

Most construction failures do not start from lack of cement, steel, or money.

They start from poor supervision.

A project can have:

* good design
* enough budget
* quality materials
* skilled labor

…but without strong supervision, the site slowly turns into chaos.

Common Signs of Poor Supervision

1. Wrong Interpretation of Drawings

Workers begin construction without fully understanding:

* dimensions
* reinforcement details
* levels
* specifications

Result:

* rework
* delays
* structural defects

2. Material Wastage

Without supervision:

* cement is damaged by moisture
* reinforcement is cut incorrectly
* aggregates mix with soil
* excessive concrete waste occurs

Small daily losses become millions.

3. Poor Quality Workmanship

Examples:

* honeycombing in concrete
