In vegetated areas, LiDAR pulses don’t immediately reach the ground that's why one of the most important factors in LiDAR accuracy is multiple return capability.

A multiple-return LiDAR system captures these different reflections:
• First return → canopy
• Intermediate returns → vegetation layers
• Last return → ground/features beneath

This allows the system to better pe*****te dense vegetation and reveal terrain or structures hidden below the canopy which is especially important in many Philippine project sites.

The sample output shows how structures beneath dense vegetation were still detected because multiple returns were captured.

DTMs built on misclassified points. Deliverables that looked complete but failed the moment they were put to use.

✅ Are they legally covered — CAAP permits, licensed geodetic engineers, NAMRIA-compliant coordinates?
✅ Can they process what they capture — correct classification, clean stitching, accurate DTMs?
✅ Is their equipment built for your scale — the right sensor, the right IMU, the right platform?
✅ Can they go beyond aerial LiDAR — bathymetric, mobile scanning, GIS integration?
✅ Do they stand behind their work — ground validation, post-delivery support, technical orientation?
