MONGREL Mongrel is a Manila-based design studio that seeks to push the boundaries of progressive architecture & design.

Mongrel strives to elevate the traditional & conventional by infusing new ways of form-finding, space-programming, & construction. It is forward looking, but still deeply rooted on tropical concepts that shaped our structures and spaces in the past, thus in a continuous search in redefining Filipino architecture in the present and future contexts. With these, the studio seeks to produce experiment

al & innovative structures and spaces that would excite & stimulate the senses. The studio works with the concept of the “arbitrary”, where forms & programs are unpredictable and would continually evolve as one starts to experience the spaces. It exploits the possibilities of movement in architecture to produce more dynamic spaces, from the static elements of building forms to detailed components in formation. The nature of the Filipino urban fabric is dynamic & diversely exciting & this is the same intensity that Mongrel hopes to capture.
