Applying for a South Korean visa may soon become easier for many Filipino travelers.
SOUTH KOREA REMOVES BANK STATEMENT REQUIREMENT FOR FILIPINO VISA APPLICANTS
Beginning February 20, 2026, the Korea Visa Application Center will no longer require Filipino applicants to submit three months of bank statements across all visa categories. The updated guidelines also allow students to submit either a school certificate or a student ID.
For group applications, only one set of shared supporting documents will be required. Employment documents will also no longer need an explanation letter, provided the applicant’s contact details are included.
