Capitol | San jose, Antique

Entwining the modernity and culture inspired by progressive leadership, collaboration and local hues.

With careful selection of appropriate lighting and color in this government office that is situated on the west side, the space is bathed in a continuous sunset glow. Local products, such as burlap and solihiya that are applied to solid and diaphanous planes, divide the space and enhance visual experience. Collaboration is indispensable in leadership as it promotes innovation and engagement, hence, the new layout provides an area for new ideas by reducing physical barriers and tracing holistic perspective.

Kapeteria | San Jose, Antique

This renovation project for a hospital cafeteria invites users into a shared space with its new linear layout. The challenge is to make it a “maaliwalas” environment inside the hospital. The existing interior walls created segregation of spaces for tables and dimmed the area. By eliminating solid partitions and introducing a linear layout defined by glass partition instead, the space not only allows natural light to disperse but also creates a communal atmosphere where people can share moments and conversations. There is a quiet optimism in architecture that uplifts spirits within a healing environment.
In terms of composition, materials are thoughtfully curated and colors are carefully selected to avoid visual overstimulation in a restorative place. The warm lights and indoor plants are intentionally located to produce a soft approach in the space. Wood, solihiya, and rattan are locally recognized materials that offer ease and familiarity, a sense of belonging, and thereby making the space more inviting and relatable to users.

Here's an overview of estimated construction costs for 2024.

These figures are indicative and can vary depending on specific project details, size, and location. They're intended to provide a rough estimate for budget planning, rather than serve as the final cost basis for your entire project. It's crucial to consult with your designer or builder for precise pricing and consider value engineering to potentially reduce costs further.

Bare finish: Approximately 20,000 to 23,000 pesos
Standard finish: Around 30,000 to 32,000 pesos
Luxury finishes: Roughly 40,000 to 44,000 pesos
Iconic finish: Consistently at 65,000 pesos

For instance, if you're planning a 300 sqm home with luxury finishes, the estimated budget could be around 13.2 million pesos (300 sqm x 44,000 pesos/sqm).

Please note that these estimates exclude design fees, furniture, and equipment. They are based on insights from construction materials' growth rates and internal project surveys.
