The 5 D's Arch’l Design Service Roadmap
1️⃣ Definition (Project Definition Phase)
Series of consultations and site meetings where data gathering takes place, and then turning the information into a space program.
2️⃣ Diagnosis (Schematic Design Phase)
Evaluation of the owner’s requirements, budget, schedule that is translated into preliminary layout as basis of the initial cost estimates.
3️⃣ Detailing (Design Development Phase)
Refinement of the sketches where initial utility diagrams, material specifications, more detailed drawings and cost estimates are prepared.
4️⃣ Documentation (Contract Documentation)
Production of necessary documents, such as complete drawing package of all trades, specifications, computational analysis reports, and bill of materials for bidding reference and building permit application.
5️⃣ Delivery (Construction and Project Turnover)
Awarding of the project to the winning contractor, plus occasional site visits and meetings during construction to ensure the quality of workmanship and compliance to the drawings/specifications and change orders.
