Pakistan Single Window (PSW) is Company Registered with SECP under section 42 of Companies Act 2017, administratively controlled by Federal Board of Revenue Customs Department Government of Pakistan. Pakistan has committed to develop and launch its NSW by 2022, aptly called Pakistan Single Window (PSW) with Pakistan Customs being designated as the ‘Lead Agency’ by the Prime Minister’s Office for d

evelopment of this important reform initiative. Accordingly, Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has established a Program Management Office (PMO) in Customs Wing to coordinate and supervise this initiative. A Single Window is a facility that allows parties involved in trade and transport to lodge standardized information and documents with a single-entry point to fulfill all import, export, and transit-related regulatory requirements. Pakistan Single Window will help reduce the time and cost of doing business in Pakistan and make trade related business processes more efficient, transparent and consistent.

Khizer is PSW’s AI-powered chatbot that helps users understand and use Pakistan’s digital trade system more easily. It supports both new and experienced traders by answering questions instantly, explaining procedures, and providing quick access to regulatory information.

Khizer is available on the PSW platform and the Trade Information Portal (TIPP). It reduces the need for traditional customer support, saves time, and improves user confidence and efficiency. Through Khizer, PSW is making cross-border trade in Pakistan simpler, faster, more accessible, and more transparent.

PSW participated in the launch of "Home to Hub," an initiative by the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry focused on empowering women entrepreneurs and strengthening their participation in export-oriented sectors.

The ice-breaking event brought together established and emerging women entrepreneurs, university students, mentors, finance representatives, and key stakeholders to strengthen the capacity of women-led businesses across Sindh, connecting home-based enterprises, SMEs, artisans, and exporters with growth opportunities and international markets.

Representing PSW, Azka Rehman joined FPCCI's Women entrepreneurs core committee for Sindh Region, where she will contribute to advancing trade facilitation, digitalization, and capacity-building efforts for women entrepreneurs. This engagement will build on PSW’s SMElevate initiative and its continued commitment to helping women-led businesses and SMEs access new markets and strengthen their export potential.

The inaugural event marked the beginning of a collaborative journey involving PSW, FPCCI, SMEDA - Pakistan , State Bank of Pakistan , and Trade Development Authority of Pakistan , to foster a more inclusive and export-ready business ecosystem for women across Pakistan.

Chaired by Ms. Huma Fakhar (Founder, MAP Group), the meeting brought together a distinguished group of leaders from across the public and private sectors, including Ms. Nadia Jehangir Seth (Chief Executive Officer, SMEDA), Ms. Fouzia Perveen Chaudhry (Additional Secretary / Head of Women Entrepreneur Division, TDAP), Ms. Nadia Bilal (Managing Director – Spinning, Nishat Chunian Limited), Ms. Qurrat-Ul-Ain (Vice President, FPCCI), Dr. Shawana Khalil (Head of Fashion Design, PIFD), Ms. Kehkashan Raza (Chief Operating Officer / Founder, Beechtree, Pepperland & Caramel PK), and Ms. Fouzia Aslam (Chief Manager, State Bank of Pakistan).

Bringing together expertise across policy, regulation, finance, academia, and industry, the Advisory Board provided strategic direction to strengthen women’s participation in international trade, enhance export readiness, foster cross-sectoral partnerships, and expand access to domestic and global markets.

PSW and LUMS have signed an MoU to advance capacity building, executive education, and applied research across Pakistan’s trade facilitation ecosystem. The MoU was signed by Aftab Haider (CEO, PSW) and Dr. Tariq Jadoon (Provost, LUMS), in the presence of senior officials from both institutions.

Under this partnership, both institutions will collaborate to support capacity-building initiatives under the Federal Board of Revenue’s (FBR) Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) Program for Probationary Assistant Collectors of Customs. The collaboration will focus on enhancing professional competencies in cross-border trade, digital trade facilitation, logistics, and data governance through jointly designed executive education programmes, technical trainings, and research initiatives.

By bridging academic excellence with practical operational expertise, this partnership reflects a shared commitment to investing in human capital, fostering innovation, and developing future leaders in customs, while contributing to the continued modernization of Pakistan’s trade and customs landscape.

The session showcased PSW’s key digital trade initiatives, achievements, and future developments, including a walkthrough of the Trade Information Portal of Pakistan (TIPP)/TradeVerse to help participants navigate cross-border trade more efficiently. UBL experts also shared insights on banking solutions, trade finance, digital banking, and Islamic finance services.

To commemorate World SME Day 2026, PSW hosted a special event at its Karachi office under its SMElevate initiative, reaffirming its commitment to empowering Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and strengthening Pakistan's export ecosystem.

The event brought together key stakeholders, including the State Bank of Pakistan, Chambers of Commerce, academia, SMEs, and representatives from the public and private sectors, to recognize the vital contribution of SMEs to economic growth, employment, and innovation, while fostering dialogue on enhancing their participation in cross-border trade.

As PSW's flagship SME engagement initiative, SMElevate has conducted capacity-building sessions across multiple cities in Pakistan, reaching approximately 10,000 SMEs. Through these engagements, PSW continues to support SMEs in embracing digital trade and unlocking new opportunities in global commerce, contributing to Pakistan's long-term economic growth.
