سیدنا ابوالدرداء رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”کیا تم میں سے کوئی اس بات سے بھی عاجز ہے کہ رات میں ایک تہائی قرآن پڑھ ڈالے؟ صحابہ رضی اللہ عنہم نے عرض کیا کہ تہائی قرآن کیسے پڑھے؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ” «قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ» تہائی قرآن کے برابر ہے۔“
