Department of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science

Department of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science The department was established in 2002 and started offering degree in Communication Systems Engineering (CSE).

The Department of Electrical Engineering and Department of Computing at IST run internationally recognized academic program in Electrical Engineering (EE) and Computer Science (CS) with market-driven specializations at undergraduate and graduate levels. ce (CS) with market-driven specializations at undergraduate and graduate levels. In 2009, keeping in view the expanding focus, the department was renamed as Electrical Engineering Department. In 2020, department started the Computer Science degree program as well. The Department consists of experienced faculty and well-equipped lab facilities. The department provides continuous academic improvement through consultation with faculty, industry, professionals and students. In addition to academic labs, department also has state-of-the-art pure R&D labs including Small Satellite & Technology Research (SSTR) Lab, AI & Computer Vision (iVision) Lab, Wireless & Signal Processing (WiSP) Lab, Cyber & Information Security (CISL) Lab, Web & Mobile Application Lab.
