Meaningful conversations have the power to shape how emerging leaders see challenges, opportunities and their own potential.

SEED Ventures CEO, Shaista Ayesha, led an engaging fireside chat with the Qimam Fellowship Pakistan – Class of 2026, sharing reflections from her leadership journey and experience navigating Pakistan’s social enterprise and investment landscape.

The conversation explored resilience, leadership, entrepreneurship and purpose, while giving Fellows the opportunity to ask questions, exchange perspectives and gain practical insights grounded in real-world experience.

Continuing our commitment to fostering more equitable and supportive communities, a Sensitization Session for Men & Boys was conducted to encourage meaningful conversations around respect, responsibility, gender equality, and the role men and boys can play in creating positive change.

The session created space for participants to reflect on social expectations, question harmful stereotypes, and explore healthier ideas of strength, empathy, fairness, and shared responsibility. Through interactive discussions and practical activities, participants were encouraged to think about how everyday attitudes and actions can contribute to stronger relationships, safer spaces, and more inclusive communities.

Conducted in partnership with UN Women Pakistan and Management and Development Foundation (MDF), with Kiran Foundation as the Community Engagement Partner, the session reinforced the importance of engaging men and boys as active participants in advancing gender equality and creating lasting social change.

Across communities, enterprises and systems, every programme delivered more than an outcome. It gave us experience, evidence and a deeper understanding of what works, what holds progress back, and where possibility lies ahead.

But no report can fully capture the people behind every number.

To the SEED team, past and present: thank you for carrying the vision into the field, navigating the difficult days, questioning, learning and continuing to build. Every number in this report has your effort behind it, and every lesson carries a part of your journey.

Independence is a beginning, not an outcome.

It creates the possibility to build, participate, create and move forward. What we choose to do with that possibility is what shapes progress.

Over the years, SEED’s work has moved across climate, circular economy and waste; women’s economic mobility; youth entrepreneurship and microenterprise growth; and employment and market transitions, turning possibility into action, and action into measurable impact.

Some of that impact can be counted.

122,632 beneficiaries.
2,149 jobs created.
Rs 62.8 million disbursed.

But these are only some of the numbers.

And the numbers are only part of the story.

When we began looking at everything together, we started seeing something bigger.

Then we looked at where possibility has taken us.

We worked with waste - and saw value.
With women - and saw economic agency.
With young entrepreneurs - and saw enterprise.
With communities - and saw resilience.
With markets - and saw scale.

But across all of it, we began to see something bigger.

Years of working across people, enterprises, communities and systems have given us more than outcomes.

They have given us perspective on what creates impact, what holds it back, and where the next possibilities may lie.

Climate ambition matters. But ultimately, implementation is what creates impact.

Faraz Khan MBE, Founder and Director of SEED Ventures and Founder and Partner at Sustainadility, has been featured by TRT World in an in-depth conversation examining COP31 Türkiye, climate finance and Türkiye’s opportunity to translate climate commitments into investable, measurable action.

Drawing on his participation in the COP31 Türkiye High-Level Business Roundtable during London Climate Action Week, Faraz discusses a central challenge facing climate markets today: bridging the gap between public ambition and projects that private capital can realistically finance.

“COP31 should be a platform where climate finance starts working for real businesses and communities.”

The discussion spans renewable energy, climate resilience, circular economy infrastructure, regulatory certainty and the role of private investment in moving climate action from targets to transactions.

Join our online session on Women in Small Business and Informal Work to gain a clearer understanding of the opportunities and challenges faced by women entrepreneurs and informal workers, and the support needed to strengthen their economic security and independence.

A used Liquid Packaging carton does not have to be the end of the story.

Once its paper fibres are recovered, the remaining polymer and aluminium layers-known as PolyAl-can be brought back into circular loops and transformed into durable products with real, everyday value.

From roof tiles, panel boards and outdoor furniture to pallets, crates, shopping carts, waste bins and industrial applications, PolyAl has the potential to support a wide range of products. The opportunity is not limited to one end use; it is about building a stronger circular market for recovered materials in Pakistan.

Making that happen requires collaboration across the value chain: recyclers with the right capabilities, manufacturers ready to test new materials, product designers exploring practical applications, researchers supporting innovation, and corporates and investors helping scale viable solutions.

Through Recycling Champions, SEED Ventures, in partnership with Tetra Pak and with the support of Bulleh Shah Packaging Pvt. Ltd. (BSP) is inviting organisations and individuals to explore the future of PolyAl together.
