Four Folds

Four Folds Architecture is like a Creation, an intriguing ability evolving from our originalities and perspectives.

By formulating our own unique creations, we may endeavor to create a parallel between our imagination and the world in which we live.

PROCESS DRAWINGS
Design is never just a final image it’s a process of discovery.

These are the fragments of that journey experiential sections, plan explorations, and blow-ups that help reveal how a space actually behaves. For me, architecture begins in sketches a place where ideas are free to evolve, fail, and transform.

I explore every project through sections first, understanding the dynamics of space, movement, light, and human experience before anything else. Because when you cut through a space, you truly begin to understand it.

From above, the city begins to speak.

Lahore, Thokar Niaz Baig reveals itself not as chaos, but as composition a living diagram of movement, memory, and negotiation. Roads carve paths that choreograph daily rituals, junctions emerge as intense nodes, where velocity slows and urban life thickens. Districts unfold in layers residential fabrics, industrial grounds, informal settlements each inscribing its own rhythm onto the metropolitan canvas.

Seen through the lens of Kevin Lynch’s Image of the City, legibility becomes an architectural act. The highways define powerful edges, separating yet connecting urban realities. Commercial corridors pulse like arteries, while encroachments quietly redraw boundaries, reminding us that cities are never finished drawings only evolving drafts.

From this altitude, planning becomes storytelling. Patterns replace parcels, flows replace forms, and the city reads like a collective memory mapped in space.

As architects, we do not only design buildings, we learn to read the city’s image its structure, its contradictions, its poetry written between lines of asphalt and fragments of habitation.

Designed with clean lines and balanced geometry, the STUDIO DESK , featuring a black charcoal tabletop that reveals the natural grain beneath like a subtle landscape, resting on a metallic gray steel frame that provides both strength and visual lightness. Every edge, junction, and proportion is considered to create harmony between structure and workspace, echoing the philosophy that furniture should feel lived with rather than merely placed. Designed by FOURFOLDS and crafted by .co , carrying forward woodworking heritage since 1975, this desk is a timeless piece made for creativity, focus, and everyday work.

Certainly! Behold, a creation that intertwines artistry and utility—a majestic card and pen sanctuary conceived to honor the march of humanity’s ingenuity. Guided by the .k , this marvel was birthed during our 7th-semester saga. Fashioned from the sturdy embrace of wood, each stroke of the chisel imbued it with intricate elegance. Its foundation, hewn from travertine, cradles a reservoir of light, encased in resin and pulsing with energy captured from the cosmos. Across a fortnight’s passage, we toiled with reverence, sculpting wood and stone, infusing every fiber with our devotion, until the vision materialized into tangible wonder.

In the heart of a slum community, a visionary structure emerges, embodying the transformative power of architecture. Crafted from paper tubes and canvas paper, it intertwines the four folds of earth, sky, divinity, and mortals. The translucent canvas paper creates an ethereal atmosphere, allowing gentle light to permeate and reflect the ever-changing sky. Sturdy paper tube columns symbolize stability, while the canvas paper inspires dreams of a better future. This transformative space nurtures personal growth, fostering resilience and unity among the slum dwellers. With practical dimensions of 12'×40' and supported by strong beams, the structure provides ample space for vocational training. Within its walls, aspirations soar, dreams take shape, and the slum community finds solace, inspiration, and the tools to create a brighter tomorrow.

Do buildings have to be permanent ?

What if we designed buildings that could evolve and adapt alongside us, reflecting the changing needs and desires of each generation?
Imagine a world where architecture is not a static monument to the past, but a living, breathing expression of the present moment.
Where buildings are not simply structures, but vibrant extensions of ourselves, always in motion, always in flux.
So let us question our assumptions, and dare to dream of a world where impermanence is not a flaw, but a source of beauty and possibilities always exist.

Capitalism and colonialism, the twin oppressors,
Their legacies linger, their impact still felt,
In the lands they plundered, the cultures they shattered,
And the people they subjugated and dealt.

The after effects are manifold,
Seen in the poverty, the inequality,
In the systems that perpetuate,
The exploitation, the degradation, the cruelty.

But their effects in the future,
Are what we must prepare for,
As we navigate a changing world,
And strive for something more.

For the system of capitalism,
Is unsustainable and unjust,
Built on the backs of the exploited,
And the natural world that it busts.

And the colonialist mindset,
Is still present and pervasive,
In the way we relate to each other,
And the world that we inhabit.

But there is hope in the struggle,
For a future that is just and fair,
Where power is shared and distributed,
And the needs of all are considered with care.

So let us remember the past,
As we move towards the future,
And work towards a world where all can thrive,
And where humanity can truly nurture.

LAHORE , PUNJAB PAKISTAN

In Lahore's bustling streets,
Where ancient meets modern beats,
A symphony of life unfurls,
Within its dense urban swirls.

The architecture tells stories,
Of a city steeped in glories,
Where Mughal grandeur blends,
With colonial designs that transcend.

The busy life flows and ebbs,
As the city never sleeps or rests,
With each step a new tale unfolds,
In Lahore's story that never grows old.

Here, the past and present meet,
In a city that's never discreet,
Lahore, where life is lived,
With all its colors vividly weaved.

Amidst the bustling city's streets,
There lies a cinema of olden feats.
A gem of richness and character,
Its stylistic design painting a surreal picture.

Tales of abandonment and sorrow,
Echoes of a lack of investment, a force to borrow.
The owner and authorities, blind to its worth,
Left the iconic piece to wither and berth.

But hidden factors lurk in the shadow,
Society's disdain for creativity and out-of-the-box, a foe.
Stylistic pieces like the Capri, overlooked and ignored,
Its envelope encapsulating Brutalist thinking, a tribute adored.

Detached from history, we fail to see,
art, the beauty, the magnificence of the Capri.
Infused with modernist movements, a hidden gem,
Unnoticed by many, but to the appreciative eye, a true emblem.

Oh, Capri, your charm and aesthetic,
A sight to behold, a treasure so eclectic.
May your glory be revived, may your soul ignite,
For you are more than just a cinema, a true delight.
