Case studies capture a range of perspectives, as opposed to the single view of an individual you get with a survey response or interview. This gives the opportunity to gain a greater understanding of the subject in hand and reduces the potential for any bias, by diluting the agenda of a particular individual. For this purpose, Team Art & Design took upon themselves the responsibility of providing an excellent learning opportunity for the students to help them become better future architects.
In these times of pandemic, a good hospital design has become a necessity. An excellent hospital design can treat patients faster and better. In addition to prioritizing patient wellness, hospital design can also increase staff productivity and wellness. In accordance to the needs of the current times, students of third and fourth year have been assigned the project of hospital design. Team Art & Design-UET LHR arranged a visit to the Social Security Hospital for these students to help them develop better understanding of the complex building with regards to its planning, and the essential linkages developed between department and their divisions. Being within the structure, feeling a part of it, helped students keenly observe the functioning of each department and brainstorm to develop more functional, and better designs. All SOPs were strictly followed throughout the case study.
