Most people looking at offshore wind see monopiles, towers, and turbines. We often look at something else…

The structures that are almost invisible — yet without them, the entire installation cannot operate safely and efficiently.

Secondary steel structures: Boatlandings, Platforms, Ladders, Supports, Access systems, Railings, Internal and external structures.

These are the components responsible for:
✔ safety of offshore crews
✔ long-term service access for 20–30 years
✔ resistance to harsh marine environments
✔ efficient installation and future O&M operations

In offshore, there is no such thing as “less important” steelwork.
Every detail operates in extreme conditions: saltwater, wind, material fatigue, limited weather windows, and exceptionally high quality requirements.

At Alpin Weld, we see offshore secondary steel as a combination of:

→ welding quality compliant with EN 1090 EXC4
→ full QA/QC and NDT control

→ anitcorrosion coating under Frosio supervision
→ production repeatability
→ readiness for real offshore conditions

Well-executed secondary steel rarely makes the headlines of project reports.

But every single day, it contributes to the safety of people and the reliability of offshore infrastructure. 🌊⚡

Is downtime really the biggest problem in onshore wind O&M — or is slow response the real issue?

Onshore wind turbines are built to work hard. But when something goes wrong, every hour counts.

At Alpin Weld, we are expanding our competencies and field experience in Operation & Maintenance for onshore wind farms, supporting turbines from various manufacturers with a practical, hands-on approach.

Our teams cover the full process:
inspection, diagnosis, repair, restart.

What makes the difference is not only technical knowledge — it is readiness.

Our specialists are available at short notice, fully equipped and certified, so they can move quickly when operators need support the most.

In our view, effective O&M is not just about fixing problems.
It is about reducing uncertainty, shortening reaction time, and helping assets return to operation safely.

So here’s the question: in real-life O&M, what has the biggest impact on turbine availability — technology, planning, or the people on site?

We’ve just wrapped up a dynamic and rewarding few days at one of Europe’s key wind energy events - Wind Europe in Madrid.

For Alpin Weld, it was a great opportunity to present our capabilities in prefabrication, rope access, welding, and maintenance services supporting both offshore and onshore projects.

As Europe continues its path toward energy independence, wind farms play a crucial role in building a secure and sustainable energy future. It’s inspiring to be part of an industry that actively contributes to this transformation.

We are pleased to see the growing interest in our services and the positive reception of our offer.

See you at the next industry events!

Thank you Pomorski Broker Eksportowy i Agencja Rozwoju Pomorza for organisation of the trip and participation of Pomeranian companies the fairs.

Three days at Wind Energy in Madrid are behind us. Dozens of meetings, hundreds of steps - there was a lot going on. The Polish representation, including companies from the Pomeranian Voivodeship with the participation of Alpin Weld, were an active part of the talks on the future of the energy industry in Europe.

Let's meet in Madrid at Wind Europe 2026 ☺

Another "Atomowe Szanse" conference is behind us - participation in it is for us a real investment in the knowledge and competences needed to effectively enter the supply chain of nuclear projects.

Previously we heard about the long and demanding road to enter to the nuclear supply chain / quality requirements and certification paths in the nuclear sector, worth its price and challenges. As well as Polish project schedule and planned orders by the American consortium.

This time we learned more about the Safety Culture, contractors' liability for nuclear damage, risks and insurance for contractors, the possibility of financing participation in the project, and the required norms and standards of companies in the supply chain.

Big pleasure to listen and meet familiar faces. See you next time in May! ☺

What an incredible few days in Gdańsk! ⚡

Thank you to everyone we had the pleasure of meeting during Power Connect 2026 in Gdansk. The B2B meetings were intense, dynamic, and — most importantly — truly productive. It’s inspiring to see how much energy, openness, and innovation is driving our industry forward! 🌊💨⚡

Beside Power Connect in the Pomeranian Region in Poland, special highlight was the morning panel at the BNEF (Baltic Nuclear Energy Forum) on March 20th — congratulation for Monika Silva and all great Panelists! ⚛️

Grateful for all the conversations, new connections, and shared ideas — this is exactly what meaningful networking should feel like.

Looking forward to continuing these discussions and turning them into real projects 🚀

Later today we will take part in the Offshore Wind B2B Matchmaking – a Polish-British-Scottish business meeting dedicated to the offshore wind sector.

The event, organized by the British Embassy in partnership with the Wind Industry Hub Foundation, creates for us a great opportunity for direct conversations with English and Polish partners actively involved in offshore wind. It’s a chance to:
- build long-term PL–UK business relationships
- exchange experience and competencies within offshore wind projects
- strengthen our position through international wind cooperation

The matchmaking session is taking place as part of the PowerConnect Gdańsk 2026 Energy Fair and Conference Poland.

Looking forward to inspiring conversations and new partnerships.
See you there!
