PL: Architektura, która staje się ramą dla historii. Nasz projekt muzeum to horyzontalna bryła „zawieszona” nad zboczem, zaprojektowana tak, by nie dominować nad otoczeniem, lecz precyzyjnie kadrować widok na zabytkowe wieże i dolinę. Elewacja, inspirowana tradycyjną portugalską mozaiką, nadaje budynkowi unikalny charakter i filtruje światło dzienne wpadające do wnętrz.
Główną ideą urbanistyczną było jednak „otwarcie” budynku. Obiekt scala się ze wzgórzem, umożliwiając swobodny spacer przez jego strukturę – zarówno w pionie, jak i w poziomie. Zewnętrzna klatka schodowa, zintegrowana z ogrodem wertykalnym, pełni funkcję plenerowej galerii, a dach staje się tarasem widokowym. To architektura wyboru: zwiedzający mogą zanurzyć się w wystawie lub jedynie przejść przez obiekt, „smakując” atmosferę miejsca i odkrywając jego głębsze znaczenie.
EN: Architecture serving as a frame for history. Our museum design features a horizontal volume "hovering" over the slope, carefully shaped not to compete with the landscape but to perfectly frame the view of the historic towers and the valley. The facade, inspired by traditional Portuguese mosaic, gives the building a distinctive look while filtering daylight into the exhibition spaces.
The core urban concept, however, was permeability. The structure merges with the hillside, allowing visitors to walk through the building both horizontally and vertically. An outdoor staircase intertwined with a vertical garden functions as an open-air gallery, while the roof serves as an observation deck. It provides a choice: visitors can dive deep into the museum’s collection or simply traverse the structure, getting a taste of the place’s spirit and understanding its profound meaning.
