Do you know the castle in Stobnica? Or maybe you remember it from the early photos, when it was only beginning to take shape?
Today I want to share a short 3:30 film that might look like ordinary stonemasonry work — but for us, it means much more.
The video shows the hand-crafting of one of a million granite blocks from Szklarska Poręba prepared for the Stobnica castle.
This is not just any material. Granite is one of the hardest stones in the world, and shaping it requires tremendous strength, patience, and years of experience. Every strike with a carbide chisel has to be deliberate, steady, and precise — there’s no room for error.
The most important part is that every single stone used in the castle was shaped 100% by hand.
The same method was used to create every corner, every arch, every detail — exactly the way you see it in the video. No machines, no automation, no shortcuts.
For 7 years, day after day, we carried out this demanding work. Every block passed through human hands, each one carrying the mark of someone’s effort, focus, and dedication.
For many people, these are “just stones.”
For us — they are years of our lives carved into granite.
I invite you to watch the video — and also check out the other films on my profile, where you can see the final results of our work.
