🇵🇱 One of the most incredible architectural projects of the 21st century has just been completed in Poland and is now open to visitors.
Stobnica Castle looks like a medieval fortress, but it was built within the past few years by private investors. The developers describe it as “a modern residential building inspired by castle architecture, surrounded by an artificial body of water.”
The official visitor site says the castle is over 70 metres high, about 200 metres long, and has 15 floors. It also says each floor is roughly the height of two normal residential floors.
The castle has caused some controversy because it was built within a protected area near the Noteć Forest, which led to protests and court delays.
Despite this, the castle is now open to visitors, who can walk around the castle grounds or go on a boat-style “galley” cruise around the castle’s lake.
