There's the brutal harsh truth for most I've come to learn
There is absolutely nothing luxurious or glamorous living on a tropical island
Once you get past the honeymoon phase - (depending on the person could be 3-10 months)
And reality sets you
You don't spend your days sitting by the beach sipping coconuts
You're hot, sweaty fighting off mosquitos and no-see-ums and pressure washing your roof to seal before the Harkonnen season comes to tear your roof off.
Then when you go to have a shower the power goes out and the barrio bombas station stops pumping water up the hill and you have to fill your toilet cistern with 5gal buckets of rainwater you collected.
Moving to a tropical island doesn't fix your life problems it only creates new challenges and adventures for the right person
You roll with it or it rolls you over
It's not for everyone you either love tropical island life or you dont...simple as that.
What is it for me?
It's freedom and living my most authentic life on my terms
