Another productive day in the field.

One of our teams returned to complete the reinstallation of a porch canopy after yesterday’s repairs to the exterior water drip edge/dropper. We allowed the concrete and paint enough cure time before reinstalling to avoid damaging the finished work. During reinstallation, we also replaced the previously removed rusted hardware with marine-grade stainless steel nuts and fasteners to help prevent corrosion and make future maintenance easier—especially in our coastal environment.

At another apartment complex, our crew handled common area cleaning and maintenance after the heavy rains we’ve been getting across Puerto Rico. Between the wet weather and the increase of insects and nighttime critters that tend to come out after storms, the team focused on restoring the shared spaces and keeping the property clean and comfortable for residents.

A one-man service team completed a quick plumbing repair by replacing worn shower valves where damaged threads were preventing one side from operating properly. Water flow was restored and the fixture is back in service.

That same team later responded to one of our work trucks after a blown coolant hose caused an unexpected breakdown. The damaged hose was replaced, coolant was topped off to proper level, and the truck was back on the road and ready to keep moving.

Meanwhile, another crew continued progress on the roof tile sealing project, wrapping up the primer stage on the tejas and gathering paint and materials needed for the next phase.

Heavy rain cut the day shorter than expected, but the team still made solid progress and kept everything moving forward.

Project Update 🔨🏠

Another productive day for the Blue Army Construction & Consulting team.

This week we completed exterior balcony concrete repairs where peeling paint, cracking, and deteriorated concrete had developed from moisture exposure. Our team carefully removed all loose material, cleaned the exposed rusting rebar with a wire brush, applied anti-corrosion treatment and bonding agent, then rebuilt the damaged areas with 5,000 PSI repair mortar for a strong long-lasting finish.

Once repairs were completed, we primed and repainted the entire ceiling area to restore a clean, even finish and refresh the look of the balcony.

At the same time, another team continued progress on our roof sealing project, applying protective sealant throughout the tejas system to improve durability and help protect against sun and heavy weather.

We also knocked out a few maintenance items around the property:

✔️ Secured a PVC utility closet door with new PVC trim anchored to the floor for improved support and cleaner operation.
✔️ Replaced internal shower valve components to restore proper water flow and stop leaking while in the off position.
✔️ Sealed an exterior tile transition where water was suspected to be entering during heavy rain to help prevent future moisture intrusion.

Big or small, every detail matters when protecting and maintaining a property.

At Blue Army Construction & Consulting, the work continues through the weekend to keep our clients taken care of.

This weekend our team completed the installation of two custom 32” frosted glass shower panels as part of an ongoing bathroom update. Each panel was carefully installed for proper alignment, secure fitment, and a clean modern finish that adds privacy while upgrading the overall look and functionality of the shower spaces.

We also completed plumbing improvements in the laundry area by replacing the existing washer and dryer shut-off valves with new quarter-turn valves for smoother operation and long-term reliability. In addition, we rerouted and installed a dedicated hose connection valve in front of the washer area, giving the client convenient access for cleaning and maintenance without having to move appliances or access hidden plumbing.

Our crew also handled a trash-out and disposal service at a condominium property following a busy holiday rental weekend. This included collecting, bagging, hauling, and properly disposing of accumulated waste to restore the area quickly and keep the property clean and guest-ready.

Behind the scenes, we also made time for preventative maintenance on one of our work trucks to keep operations running safely and reliably. The work included replacing the front brake pads, completing an oil change, and performing a full inspection of fluid levels and potential leaks—making sure our equipment stays in top shape and preventing any issues while working on client properties.

Another successful day in the field for Blue Army Construction & Consulting. 🔧🏗️

✔️ Completed another hot water heater replacement at Condominium Wave View, interchanging the existing unit with a new upgraded system. The installation included brand new 30” high-pressure stainless steel hoses, updated shut-off valves, and electrical upgrades including replacing the old 30 amp breaker with a new 50 amp breaker for safer and more reliable operation.

✔️ Updated all fire alarms throughout the apartment to help improve safety and code compliance for the residents.

✔️ Performed a full cleaning and maintenance service on the master bedroom air conditioning unit to improve airflow, efficiency, and overall performance.

✔️ Replaced a failed guest bedroom ceiling fan motor with a new modern remote-control ceiling fan, restoring proper airflow and giving the room a clean updated look.

✔️ Another crew officially started the sealing and repainting process of the tejas at Condominium Arena Del Mar. Due to the height of the 5-level building, all technicians are fully equipped with proper safety harnesses and secured tie-off systems to maintain maximum job site safety while working at elevated heights.

✔️ Our landscaping and maintenance crew also completed the remaining villa de-w**ding work that could not be finished the previous day, removing w**ds from gravel beds and landscaped areas while leaving the properties clean and well maintained.

Another productive day in the field for Blue Army Construction & Consulting. 💪🏽

✔️ Completed the replacement of a failed leaking tank water heater with a new high-efficiency tankless gas water heater system. The installation included new high-pressure stainless steel supply lines, new shut-off valves on both the inlet and outlet copper lines, system testing, and cleanup for a safer and more reliable hot water setup.

✔️ Another crew pressure washed and deep cleaned roof tejas at a condominium complex, properly preparing the surface for upcoming sealing and repainting work. Proper prep work is key for long-lasting adhesion and protection in Puerto Rico’s climate.

✔️ Diagnosed and repaired an automatic gate that was not operating correctly. After inspection, we determined the issue was caused by heavy dirt and debris buildup along the track system. The team fully cleaned the track, serviced and lubricated the wheels and chain system, and restored smooth gate operation.

✔️ Transported and delivered approximately 110 gallons of drinking water to a farm to help maintain daily operations and livestock support.

✔️ Another team completed detailed hand w**ding and cleanup across 5 villas, removing overgrown w**ds from flower beds, disposing of all debris, and leaving the properties clean and well maintained.

Another busy and productive day in the field for the Blue Army Construction & Consulting team.

One crew upgraded an existing electric water heater from a 1.8 GPM unit to a higher-capacity 3.0 GPM system to significantly improve hot water delivery, overall water flow, and shower performance for the unit. The same crew also removed an abandoned AC copper line embedded inside a concrete wall, properly chipped and cleaned the area, and completed the repair using high-strength mortar for a durable and clean finished patch.

At one condominium, another team completed a full cleaning and maintenance service throughout all common areas including sweeping, mopping, cobweb removal, detail cleaning of walkways and railings, and disposal of accumulated debris to leave the property clean and guest-ready. After completing the cleanup, the crew mobilized to a separate condominium to begin preparation work for an upcoming teja roof restoration project, including material staging, roof pressure washing preparation, surface prep, priming, and sealing coordination.

Meanwhile, another bathroom renovation project continued with the removal of an outdated concealed shower mixer valve system. The plumbing was reconfigured and updated to accommodate a new exposed rain shower setup, ensuring proper alignment and future accessibility. Once plumbing modifications were completed, the surrounding wall areas were plastered and refinished to create a smooth surface ready for final paint and fixture installation.

The final crew completed a bidet installation and upgraded the apartment’s plumbing shut-off system throughout the bathroom and kitchen fixtures by replacing older compression-style valves with new female-threaded quarter-turn shut-off valves. The system was further upgraded with new high-pressure stainless steel braided supply lines to provide improved reliability, easier servicing, and longer-term durability for the plumbing fixtures throughout the unit.

Another productive day in the field by Blue Army Construction & Consulting.

Today’s work included installing protective 4x8 ¾” panel barriers along sections of the barbed wire fence to help contain debris and prevent rocks from spreading across the property while heavy equipment operates nearby.

We also modified an existing livestock feeding area by relocating the feed trough approximately 6 inches to improve access and comfort for the bull. One side of the holding area was redesigned into a removable sliding section for easier operation and future flexibility, along with fabrication of an additional shorter fence section for multipurpose use around the property.

To improve site conditions during wet weather, we formed and poured a new concrete pad at the pasture entrance to eliminate ongoing mud buildup and provide a cleaner, more durable access point.

Additional work completed today included pickup, delivery, and full assembly of a client’s adjustable computer desk, as well as servicing a shower valve by replacing the internal rubber gaskets to restore proper operation and stop leakage issues.

Collaboration project completed by Blue Army Construction & Consulting and RV Refrigeration involving the full installation and commissioning of high-efficiency SEER 22 air conditioning systems, including:

* (2) 24,000 BTU SEER 22 mini-split systems
* (4) 12,000 BTU SEER 22 mini-split systems

Scope of work included complete installation of all indoor and outdoor units, new dedicated electrical circuits with waterproofed breaker boxes for added protection and durability, insulated refrigeration line sets wrapped with UV/weather-resistant tape, and PVC line-hide covers installed over exposed copper lines for a clean and professional finish.

All systems feature WiFi-enabled smart app connectivity for remote operation and monitoring. Work also included system vacuum and testing procedures, condensate drainage setup, and full disposal/removal of the previous units and related debris.

Installed and completed with focus on efficiency, reliability, weather protection, and long-term performance.

✔️ Removed loose and damaged roof concrete caused by rusted expanding rebar, properly cleaned and treated exposed steel with anti-corrosion protection, applied bonding agent, repaired with Rapid Set 5,000 PSI mortar, then primed and painted for a clean finished repair.

✔️ Upgraded outdoor shower with a new rain-style shower head and installed concrete pavers through the stone pathways to improve accessibility and maneuverability around the condo property.

✔️ Installed a new 4-strand barbed wire section to separate grazing areas for livestock management and repaired damaged sections of the existing pasture fence.

✔️ Completed vegetation maintenance on steep inclines, including w**d trimming, blowing off main walkways, and mowing selected grass areas to keep the property clean and maintained
