A longo prazo, a clareza perfeita da água numa piscina natural ou lago ornamental é obtida com a utilização de filtros biológicos de grandes dimensões. Quando o lago se mantém estável durante os picos de temperatura nos meses de verão, sabe-se que o filtro atingiu a maturidade. Leva algum tempo para que o microbioma dos filtros entre em equilíbrio (alta diversidade, mas baixa quantidade de cada espécie), mas os resultados falam por si: a água permanece cristalina, com um brilho belíssimo, e as pedras, o cascalho e a areia mantêm-se limpos. Long-term, perfect water clarity in a natural swimming pond is achieved using oversized biological filters. When the pond stays stable during temperature peaks in the summer months, you know the filter has reached maturity. It takes a while for the microbiome in the filters to balance (high diversity, but few amounts of each species), but the results speak for themselves: the water stays clear, has a beautiful shine to it and stones, gravel and sand are clean.
