I create high quality custom furniture and objects from European hard woods. I try to source local timber where possible, from around the Caldas area or from within Portugal. I am passionate about traditional green woodwork and joinery. I make staked furniture - stools, benches, chairs and small tables. I can also make stable and durable chopping boards to fit your kitchen space. Fine Art framing

- I can frame and mount your artwork and photographs. I only use archival materials and care about the conservation of artwork. All finishes that I use are eco friendly. Milling - if you have or know of a tree that has fallen, or has been damaged and needs to be felled, I can offer a milling service, utilising parts of the tree to be made into boards (this does greatly depend on the species, dimensions and state of the wood). If you have such a tree on your land (Ash, Chestnut, London Plane, Oak or Olive for example), I can help you turn wood from your property into beautiful furniture for your home. I have a portable chainsaw mill that can process trunks up to 60cm in diameter. Old tools - do you have an old family tool that needs restoring or re-handling? Golden or Maple syrup? These slide around the workbench where ever I need them.

Had some quarter sawn bits lying around. The Lyles lid is wedged into the top of the tin like a b**g. I put some 5mm cork board in the bottom so the pencil lead doesn’t snap when you drop them in.

2lb/1kg JP stone hammer - riven Ash handle

This is the second one we’ve used on our house restoration. Cheap, reasonably hard steel - the eye of the hammer head takes a top loading handle, which is too thin for my liking - luckily a bottom fitting handle (which can be any shape/thickness) works fine in the eye - I cross-wedged it just to be sure. ‘Pick’ side modified to a vertical edge - works great on the sandstone we have.
