Our retreat with was about so much more than painting—it was a beautiful immersion into local Alentejo’s culture and community! And, of course, we couldn’t talk about Alentejo without mentioning it’s wonderful, authentic food that brought us together at every meal!
Here is a look back at the special places we explored together:
Estremoz Castle: We discovered stunning local folk art and UNESCO clay figures at the Joaquim Vermelho Museum and visited the stunning Santa Isabel’s chapel full of blue and white tiles and frescos selling.
Estremoz Tiles Museum: We found endless inspiration in 800 years of tile collection followed by local wine tasting.
Estremoz’s Flea & Antiques Market: A relaxing stroll to discover unique regional crafts and local treasures.
Lunch with Purpose: We visited the lovely village of Veiros for a meaningful lunch at supporting their urgent work with children.
Art, history, and community made this experience truly unforgettable.
