Madeira natural. Curvas. Iluminação integrada. Portas que desaparecem no revestimento.

Neste projeto, trabalhámos com MDF revestido a folha natural de carvalho da Synoch, da , com acabamento em verniz mate pré-aplicado — resistente, uniforme e pensado para um resultado consistente ao longo do tempo.

A curva foi resolvida com HPL flexível, permitindo acompanhar a geometria do espaço. As portas foram integradas no mesmo plano do revestimento para f**arem mimetizadas no painel, enquanto uma linha de LED oculta completa a composição.

Por trás de uma solução aparentemente simples, existe sempre uma série de decisões técnicas.

É aí que entra a Somma: na capacidade de transformar uma ideia de arquitetura em uma peça executada com precisão.

Natural wood. Curves. Integrated lighting. Doors that disappear into the wall.

For this project, we worked with MDF faced with natural oak veneer from Synoch by Decospan, finished with a pre-applied matte lacquer — durable, consistent and designed to maintain a uniform appearance over time.

The curved section was achieved using flexible HPL, allowing the material to follow the geometry of the space. The doors were integrated into the same plane as the wall panelling, making them virtually disappear within the design, while concealed LED lighting completes the composition.

Behind an apparently simple solution, there is always a series of technical decisions.

That is where Somma comes in: turning an architectural idea into a precisely crafted solution.

Este projeto em um apartamento em Cascais, reuniu três especialidades diferentes no mesmo espaço: carpintaria, estofo e aplicação de mosaicos.

A mesa de jantar e a estrutura da mesa de centro são carpintaria. O tampo da mesa de centro é em mosaico. O sofá é estofo, sobre uma base executada em carpintaria.

Três ofícios diferentes, coordenados para o mesmo resultado.

An apartment in Cascais, living room. This project brought together three different specialities in the same space: carpentry, upholstery and mosaic application.

The dining table and the coffee table’s structure are carpentry. The coffee table top is mosaic. The sofa is upholstery, built on a carpentry-made base.

Nesta sala em Oeiras, a Somma Carpintaria acompanhou o projeto do desenho à execução. A composição percorre toda a parede e integra zona de televisão, arrumação fechada e uma sequência de nichos abertos para livros, discos e objetos.

Mas é na execução que este conjunto se revela: rigor nas proporções, nos alinhamentos e na relação entre cada módulo, para que uma estrutura de grandes dimensões se integrasse na sala sem qualquer folga.

Da primeira medição ao último acabamento, cada módulo foi ajustado ao espaço e à forma como é usado.

In this Oeiras living room, Somma Carpintaria followed the project from design to ex*****on. The composition runs the full length of the wall, integrating the TV area, closed storage and a sequence of open niches for books, records and objects.

But it’s in the ex*****on that this piece reveals itself: rigour in proportions, alignments and the relationship between modules, so a large-scale structure could sit naturally in the room without a single gap.

From the first measurement to the last finish, every module was fitted to the space and to how it’s used.

Cada furo para as ferragens Blum é feito por uma máquina própria da marca — programada peça a peça, antes de qualquer montagem. É este rigor, milímetro a milímetro, que garante que tudo encaixa sem folga.

Every hole for the Blum hardware is drilled by the brand’s own machine — programmed piece by piece, before any assembly. This millimetre-by-millimetre precision is what makes sure everything fits without play.

Nesta cozinha em Oeiras, a Somma acompanhou o projeto do início ao fim — do desenho ao último ajuste em obra. Mas é na execução que este projeto se revela: gaveteiros interiores com ferragens Blum e divisórias que organizam cada talher, cada faca, no seu lugar exato. Um armário com iluminação interior que se acende ao abrir, revelando cristalaria em exposição. Pormenores que só se sentem no dia a dia.

In this kitchen in Oeiras, Somma followed the project from start to finish — from design to the last adjustment on site. But it’s in the ex*****on that this project reveals itself: interior drawers with Blum hardware and dividers that organize every piece of cutlery, every knife, in its exact place. A cabinet with interior lighting that switches on when opened, revealing the glassware on display. Details that only make sense in daily use.

Apartamento em Estoril, um projeto de carpintaria sob medida do início ao fim.

Na cozinha, a bancada em madeira maciça é talhada e ajustada peça a peça, mantendo a borda natural no acabamento; a parede ao lado já recebeu a estrutura construída para suportar a televisão, forrada a tecido.

Na sala, a estante em madeira foi desenhada e executada à medida do espaço, do chão ao teto.

No quarto, a beliche é construída de raiz, encaixada com precisão no vão da parede.

Na casa de banho, o espelho em madeira com iluminação integrada foi desenhado e montado à medida do lavatório duplo.

No corredor, a parede totalmente forrada a madeira esconde uma porta embutida, sem aro à vista — um pormenor que só é possível com um projeto pensado ao detalhe, do desenho técnico à instalação final.

Apartment in Estoril, a custom carpentry project from start to finish. In the kitchen, the solid wood counter is shaped and fitted piece by piece, keeping its natural edge in the finish; the wall beside it has already received the structure built to hold the TV, lined in fabric. In the living room, the wood shelving unit was designed and built to the exact dimensions of the space, floor to ceiling. In the bedroom, the bunk bed is built from scratch, fitted with precision into the wall recess. In the bathroom, the wood-framed mirror with integrated lighting was designed and fitted to the exact width of the double vanity. In the corridor, the fully wood-panelled wall hides a flush-fitted door, with no visible frame — a detail only possible with a project planned down to the last measurement, from technical drawing to final installation.

Apartamento Cascais — quarto.

Três intervenções de marcenaria neste mesmo espaço: a mesinha de cabeceira, produzida à medida para este quarto; o painel de cabeceira em madeira e tecido, montado sobre estrutura em carvalho; e o aparador, onde a Somma substituiu o tampo original, cortado e acabado à medida do móvel.

Three carpentry interventions in this same room: the nightstand, custom-built for this room; the headboard panel in wood and fabric, mounted on an oak frame; and the sideboard, where Somma replaced the original top, cut and finished to fit the existing piece.

Um apartamento no Parque das Nações. Quatro divisões, uma só execução.

Na sala, o painel de madeira integra-se à parede sem interromper a leitura do espaço. No tecto da zona de jantar, uma peça suspensa cortada e montada à medida, sem soluções genéricas. No escritório, um sistema de prateleiras que organiza sem sobrecarregar. Na cozinha, o tampo em madeira complementa os armários existentes com precisão de encaixe.
Cada peça foi medida, cortada e instalada com o mesmo rigor — do primeiro corte ao acabamento final.

An apartment in Parque das Nações. Four rooms, one ex*****on.
In the living room, the wood panel integrates into the wall without interrupting the reading of the space. In the dining area, a suspended ceiling piece cut and installed to measure — no generic solutions. In the office, a shelving system that organizes without overwhelming. In the kitchen, the wood countertop completes the existing cabinetry with precise fit.
Every piece was measured, cut, and installed with the same rigor — from the first cut to the final finish.
