QFAB Secures Multi Million Dollar EDG Package Award in Qatar's Energy Sector.
We are pleased to share that QFAB, a subsidiary of Al Mahhar Holding, has been awarded a multimillion dollar contract from an EPC for the supply of Emergency Diesel Generator (EDG) packages (multiple units of 6.6kV EDG, Rated Power: 2000 kVA) for a major green field project in Qatar's energy sector.
The package, powered by CTM (Compagnia Tecnica Motori Italy) Generator technology, Italy includes emergency diesel generators, day tanks and fuel transfer systems, neutral grounding resistors (NGR), and compressor systems for dual starting.
What makes this project particularly meaningful to us is the technical complexity involved. The project required careful coordination across multiple disciplines and a rigorous Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE) process, with several project-specific requirements that could not be addressed through a standard generator solution.
Throughout the process, the QFAB team worked closely with CTM to understand the application, address the technical challenges, and develop a bespoke solution specifically aligned with the project requirements.
