UCC Holding has expanded its global energy footprint with a strategic entry into Venezuela’s oil and gas sector through participation in Phase 2 of the Loran offshore gas field.

Through its subsidiary "UCC Oil and Gas", the Group will hold an equal participating interest alongside bp and XRG, with bp acting as operator. Based on current technical estimates, Loran Phase 2 contains approximately 4 trillion cubic feet of recoverable gas resources.

The participation marks an important step in the continued expansion of UCC Holding’s international energy portfolio and strengthens its presence in the upstream gas sector.

The consortium will now focus on the technical and commercial work required to define the field’s final development concept, including subsurface evaluation, facilities engineering and potential gas monetization routes.

Ashghal and UCC Visit Qatar’s 3D-Printed Schools Project

the Public Works Authority (Ashghal) and UCC Holding visited the two schools being delivered by UCC as part of Qatar’s Schools Development Program, where construction is underway using the world’s largest 3D construction printer.

Designed specifically for the project, the printer measures 50 metres in length, 30 metres in width, and 15 metres in height. The printed walls across the two schools cover approximately 30,000 square metres, while the total length of the printed layers has exceeded 500,000 linear metres, using around 2,000 cubic metres of printed concrete.

The visit highlighted the progress achieved to date and UCC’s commitment to deploying advanced construction technologies to improve delivery efficiency and enhance sustainability, helping to deliver more innovative, future-ready educational facilities.

تفقدت هيئة الأشغال العامة «أشغال» ومجموعة أورباكون القابضة «يو سي سي» المدرستين اللتين تنفذهما «يو سي سي» ضمن برنامج تطوير مدارس قطر، حيث تجري أعمال البناء باستخدام أكبر طابعة بناء ثلاثية الأبعاد في العالم.

وصُممت الطابعة خصيصًا للمشروع، وتبلغ أبعادها **50 مترًا طولًا، و30 مترًا عرضًا، و15 مترًا ارتفاعًا**. وقد بلغت مساحة الجدران المطبوعة في المدرستين نحو **30 ألف متر مربع**، فيما تجاوز إجمالي أطوال طبقات الطباعة **500 ألف متر طولي**، باستخدام نحو **2,000 متر مكعب من الخرسانة المطبوعة**.

وسلطت الزيارة الضوء على التقدم المحرز حتى الآن، والتزام «يو سي سي» بتوظيف تقنيات البناء المتقدمة لرفع كفاءة التنفيذ وتعزيز الاستدامة، بما يسهم في تطوير مرافق تعليمية أكثر ابتكارًا وجاهزية للمستقبل.

UCC Holding and Hassan Allam Holding, through a joint venture between UrbaCon Saudi Arabia and Hassan Allam Construction Saudi, have signed a contract with Diriyah Company to deliver the Waldorf Astoria Hotel, Residences, and Mixed-Use Development in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia.

Spanning approximately 241,000 square metres of built-up area, the development will feature a 200-room Waldorf Astoria Hotel, 47 branded residences, commercial and office buildings, a fully integrated basement, and vibrant public spaces.

The project marks a significant milestone in delivering one of the Kingdom’s most prominent developments and reflects the joint venture’s commitment to supporting Saudi Vision 2030 through world-class engineering and ex*****on capabilities.

وقّعت أورباكون القابضة وحسن علام القابضة، من خلال مشروع مشترك بين أورباكون السعودية وحسن علام السعودية للإنشاءات، عقدًا مع شركة الدرعية لتنفيذ مشروع فندق والدورف أستوريا والوحدات السكنية والمجمّع متعدد الاستخدامات في الدرعية بالمملكة العربية السعودية.

ويمتد المشروع على مساحة بناء تبلغ نحو 241 ألف متر مربع، ويضم فندق والدورف أستوريا المكوّن من 200 غرفة، و47 وحدة سكنية تحمل العلامة التجارية، إلى جانب مبانٍ تجارية ومكتبية، وقبو متكامل، ومساحات عامة حيوية.

ويمثل المشروع محطة مهمة في تنفيذ أحد أبرز المشاريع التطويرية في المملكة، ويعكس التزام المشروع المشترك بدعم رؤية السعودية 2030 من خلال خبرات هندسية وقدرات تنفيذية عالمية المستوى.

Qatar’s UCC Leads an International Consortium with Chevron and TI Capital to Develop a Strategic Oil Pipeline Extending from Iraq through Syria to the Mediterranean.

From Qatar to the world, Qatar-based UCC Urbacon Concessions Investments is leading an international investment consortium with Chevron Business Development EMEA and TI Capital to advance one of the Middle East’s largest transformational infrastructure projects.

The agreements were signed at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington, D.C., in the presence of representatives of the governments of Iraq and Syria. The project will assess, develop, finance, and implement a cross-border onshore pipeline corridor connecting Iraqi crude oil production with export and delivery infrastructure on Syria’s Mediterranean coast.

The project reflects the growing role of Qatari companies in leading and coordinating major international investments and delivering complex cross-border infrastructure. It is expected to strengthen the resilience of regional energy flows and establish a new route for Iraqi oil to reach global markets through the Mediterranean.

ويعكس المشروع الدور المتنامي للشركات القطرية في قيادة وتنسيق الاستثمارات الدولية الكبرى وتنفيذ مشاريع البنية التحتية المعقدة العابرة للحدود. كما يُتوقع أن يسهم في تعزيز مرونة تدفقات الطاقة الإقليمية وفتح مسار جديد أمام النفط العراقي للوصول إلى الأسواق العالمية عبر البحر الأبيض المتوسط.
