A lighting plan usually gets fixed the day the ceiling closes. Flos built a track that keeps deciding.
The Running Magnet holds each fixture with a magnet, powered the whole time. Slide a spotlight along the track, add one, move one — the power stays on, the ceiling stays closed. Whoever ends up living in the room gets to keep changing their mind about it.

When Flos photographed its most iconic lamps, they didn’t use a studio. They used real buildings, people walking past, living around them, the ordinary rhythm of life.

It’s the same instinct behind everything we build: a house isn’t finished when the walls are. It’s finished when someone’s life moves naturaly through it.

A light fitting is an object twice: once when it’s off, once when it’s on.
Taccia has been both since 1962 — glass, metal and a shape that holds the room even in daylight, before anyone reaches for the switch. Sixty years on, the object hasn’t changed; what’s inside it has.
That’s the test we apply to every fitting we specify: it has to be worth looking at for the twelve hours a day it isn’t doing anything.

Most conversations about stone stop at the material. Salvatori’s start after it.

Their surfaces are textures cut into the stone itself. Honed stays calm and lets the grain speak. Bamboo runs in ridges until the wall reads like fabric. Chevron sets the grain against itself. CNC carves a pattern drawn before it’s cut. Same marble, four rooms.

Which is why the choice can’t be made from a catalogue. A carved surface changes through the day as light moves across it, and the only way to know if it belongs in a room is to put it there.

A sample tells you what a material is. A finished room tells you what it does.

The same stone, twice: on the table where it was chosen, and on the wall where it ended up. Between the two there are a hundred decisions — thickness, finish, the direction of the grain, where the joint falls.

Those decisions are easier when the people choosing are the people fitting.

It’s one design language, carried from the first drawing to the last object by the same team, working with the European houses we’ve selected: Molteni&C. Salvatori. Oikos. Gandia Blasco. Kettal. Flos. Andreu World. UniFor.

A first look at the Molteni&C Bucharest Flagship Store new collection.

Featured in the collection is the Theo bed by Yabu Pushelberg, characterized by rounded contours, generous proportions, and clean organic lines. Paired with the delicate and heavy Panna Cotta table by Ron Gilad, Theo is a compelling statement design that fosters a deeply relaxing bedroom aesthetic.
