This Sibiu house, designed for a mature business family, integrates with calculated discretion into the urban fabric of the Subarini neighborhood in Sibiu. The architectural intervention aimed at approaching the design of a family residence with a modern aesthetic, deeply integrated into the site’s specific character. The fundamental concept proposes a gradual transition towards the intimate interior space, centered on the idea of a central courtyard that anchors a double-height living room. This configuration optimizes flows and spatial perception.
Construction details and finishes are essential. High-tech materials were used, unique in Romania at the time of completion, notably frameless structural sliding joinery. These allow for maximum transparency, blurring the boundary between interior and exterior and modulating the relationship between material and light. The interior, defined by luxury and modernity, generates an atmosphere that is simultaneously warm and representative, reflecting the residents’ status and vision. Aesthetic and functional coherence is a consistent feature of the project.
