Good luck to Lidl Ireland on the opening of their new retail store in Ballyfermot today. The new two-storey mono-pitch discount food store (with ancillary off-license) has a gross floor space of 2,144m² with a net retail sales area of 1,400m².
The project also included the redevelopment/reconfiguration of the existing site layout and car parking, the provision of free-standing and building-mounted signage, free-standing trolley bay and enclosure, public lighting, electric vehicle charging points, roof-mounted solar panels, roof-mounted refrigeration and air-conditioning plant and equipment.

We’re thrilled to celebrate the completion of this fantastic store, designed by the talented team at SDS design engineers and expertly managed by McCallion Group as the main contractor.

Our contribution? Aluminum-glass shopfronts, office windows, and automatic doors, delivered in collaboration with FAAC Entrance Solutions UK. It’s always exciting to see our work come together on such impactful projects!

Good luck to Lidl Northern Ireland on the opening today of their expanded and modern new store in Omagh which has doubled the size of its existing site at the busy junction between James Street and the Dromore Road.
Built to Lidl’s pioneering ‘concept’ design, the store prioritises sustainability through an ISO 50001 certified Energy Management System, incorporating solar EV panels and a modern fit-out to reduce energy consumption and include EV charging points within its newly landscaped car parks. The sales floor is 1,420 m², on a site of 8,029m² with 95 car parking spaces. The store has spacious, wide aisles, long tills, restrooms, employee and baby-changing facilities, customers can look forward to a modern shopping experience. The original store, which was built almost 20 years ago, was one of Lidl's first in the north and had a previous renovation and refurbishment in 2013.
