Design concept
The design idea is very straightforward, focusing on function, orientation, connection and zoning arrangement.
The designer create the house with L shape which perfectly adapted to the geometry of the large rectangular plot.
Beside the concept of family gathering the idea stands out for an evidence of separation between the private area (in the first floor) and the common area (in the ground floor).
The building consist of two different levels ground and first floor, connected with visible spiral staircase.
Treetop is a house in which the indoor and outdoor environment merge with large glass openings.
In order to acquire natural scenery and light environment, living area, hall, double height saloon and dinning space face east or north, having a full view to the garden for a brighter living environment. while the bedrooms and the master bedroom facing the south or north offering a private well ventilated scenery.
All service areas with mechanical building materials such as pipes, cables and air conditioning have been hidden away from the main view facing West and North sides.
Natural unordered grey Stone, Marcella roof, wooden Pergola, warm terraces and ventilated Verandas were borrows from modern mediterian style with the 3 color pallette (white, grey and mahogany) to give the building a warm look and feel, since the sense of warmth is so essential to any home.
All landscape and outdoor areas cannot be seen from the neighbourhood except from the surrounding trees top, and this is the main concept.

the design focus mainly on the abundance of natural daylight in each apartment.

The driving concept for the design was to create a central courtyard as a focal point of the house, all living rooms, dinning area and two bedrooms have the full view to the internal courtyard.
The courtyard was designed to be well lit, ventilated ( open to sky), green (filled with plants and green facade), private (slidding doors give flexibility for the owner to control) and secure (hidden from outside and accessible only from inside the house).
As the plot area is small, the courtyard was intended to provide an extension for the usable internal living areas through two techniques:
1_ Using the flush checker board flooring which allows the courtyard to become part of the internal spaces.
2_ Using full height Openable slidding glass doors around the courtyard which is the key to perfect daylight in the house.
Perforated and fair_faced brick were made for economical, low maintenance, environmental, super durable, and aesthetic alternative.
