Mounding in Finland! 🇫🇮🌲

Two weeks back, when visiting our eastern neighbors, we had the chance to see a Bracke M24 mounted in a Ponsse Buffalo in the field.

A nimble machine with the possibilities to create well-formed mounds and suitable planting spots, even in varying ground conditions. By exposing mineral soil and preparing the ground with care, the mounding unit helps create good conditions for the next generation of forest.

Great planting points in challenging conditions 🌲

When some time has passed since harvesting, new vegetation, shrubs and slash can make site preparation more demanding. Still, careful scarification plays an important role in creating the right conditions for regeneration.

Here, the Bracke T26 and S35 mounted on a Ponsse Elephant King help expose mineral soil and prepare suitable planting points, giving the next generation of forest a better start even when the terrain is far from clear and simple.
