Design and Planning for Social Inclusion

Design and Planning for Social Inclusion Design and Planning for Social Inclusion is an educational platform in the Master's Program Architecture and Planning Beyond Sustainability at Chalmers.

Design and Planning for Social Inclusion is a studio in the Master's Program Architecture and Planning Beyond Sustainability at Chalmers University of Technology. Our students have backgrounds in design, architecture, urban design and planning. The studio will give knowledge and practice about challenges and opportunities for development in suburban areas built in the 1960s and 70s as part of the

Swedish Million Programme. Social aspects of sustainable development and citizen participation are specific focus areas. The studio takes place mainly in the study area of Hammarkullen, in the studio’s facilities at the Professional Educational Center Angered, PUA (the former Centre for Urban Studies), run by the University of Gothenburg in collaboration with Chalmers Architecture and the city’s District Management Office of Angered.
